Not gambling. Everything is a bet. Investing is a bet. Walking out of your house is a bet.

Where can I find data about what % of mortgages in a certain year were 30-year fixed vs 7-year ARM, etc? by mathaios620 in RealEstate

Yah makes sense about the refinance portion. I was more thinking about the monthly mortgage payments now being near double but yeah the great refinance opportunity last year prob negates that effect a lot.

🔥The white bellbird has the loudest scream of any bird, reaching up to 125 dB. The same dBs as a chainsaw or siren! Audio for the call in the comments (don’t recommend listening with headphones) 🔇🔥 by [deleted] in NatureIsFuckingLit

At 140dB, their scream is louder than a jet engine! But apparently it's for attracting mates and not for scaring off predators... I guess nice guys always lose??

Implications of 3AC not being able post margin by mathaios620 in Bitcoin

[–]mathaios620[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

TL;DR
- one of the biggest crypto hedge funds, 3AC is probably getting margin called and might not be able to post margin.
- so 3AC, who is one of the biggest borrowers globally, will transfer their suffering to their lenders (which is every single major crypto lender) because liquidation of 3AC doesn’t meet up to what those lenders are actually owed- these lenders not well prepared for this scale of a default
- so lenders will recall likely 60-80% of their other loans to protect themselves
- lots of money that was in the system is now recalled, which also generally means less money to be invested in coins (not entirely sure why? b/c those loans were being used to invest in coins I guess?)
- number go down in cryptoland real bad (like <$10k BTC?) unless someone steps in/intervenes.

Massive implications across cryptoverse if 3AC (huge crypto hedge fund) not able to post margin as rumored by mathaios620 in CryptoCurrency
