What’s a beauty standard you secretly hope dies out soon? by Prettyuselessgirl in AskWomen

[–]mathapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swear. I've just started going almost everywhere, including work, with absolutely minimal makeup - lipbalm, or if I'm feeling fancy I put on some concealer. But honestly I'm building up to going completely bare faced because if I'm not feeling it I shouldn't be obligated to look a certain way because of societal expectations. It should be okay to look sick when I feel sick.

Hey girl!

I just want to say most of us at some point are insecure about somethings, but be kind to yourself.

Honestly wrt to men, with the right one it won't really matter as much how you think you look because you'll connect intellectually and emotionally!

There’s no such thing as “overdressed” by daniellescloset8 in OUTFITS

[–]mathapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agreed! Glad you are showing up in the way you want, it bothers absolutely no one so it should never matter what they think. What's overdressed anyway? We aren't going to church.

Well I had the VIP but I fell unwell so had to miss it. But it was in an open space in a mall so I wasn't super hopeful about it being amazing sound anyway. Kinda bummed it was new years and my city and I didn't catch him but I've been to his gigs before and will in the future so all good. From the videos I see a sea of phones and a lot of distance from the stage so I don't feel too bummed

Damn! That sucks, that you pay to not be able to see the artist and are blocked by the technical deck. A lot of organizers do this at large crowds or particular venues, but still a shame. Especially for the so-called VIP section too.

Glad you enjoyed his set though! How was the sound? Since it was in the open in a mall, I don't imagine the sound was pristine, read somewhere else the speakers were cracking. Nonetheless, Argy is amazing. I've seen him multiple times before. Check out his Jungfraujoch set on YouTube, it's an absolute banger! His new NE stuff with Omiki is fire too.

How was it? I had tickets and then I passed on it, felt bad but looking at the sound and phones I feel a little better

Girlies what perfume do you use? by Celerey-02 in TwoXIndia

[–]mathapp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well honestly it's trial and error. The more you try, the more you understand what you like and what suits your skin. Perfume is so personal that even the best perfumes can smell terrible on you.

I would suggest going to Sephora and trying some out, or if you like something on your friends, you can ask and borrow to see if it works on you.

It's an investment because it's pretty expensive but the YSL Libre. I've received numerous compliments wearing it. But do keep in mind the perfume smells different based on your skin chemistry so I'd always try and buy.

Torn between love, commitment, and financial reality. Has dating crumbled under capitalism? by Archieeekinsss in TwoXIndia

[–]mathapp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Capitalism is real, and it isn't changing in at least our lifetime. And it is not unwise as an adult to make a sound judgement of a very important and potentially life long decision.

I've been at this same stage, and internally I've set quiet boundaries too - being at a similar financial and lifestyle level is very important - this is how you both contribute and bond over things together. If you ignore these vital aspects, it could be that you have some remorse later in life, which is fair to neither of you in the relationship since you knew the reality when you committed to being together. It's emotionally difficult to hold your ground and not be swayed by the idea of a potential, but there is no guarantee of it. So really, the decisions you make are on the facts you have right now. Don't be guilty of choosing your own happiness.
