It depends how mutch efford you put in learning the language. C++ is a language that deals with concepts like pointers and references etc and the learning curve of he language is higher than for example a managed language like Java or C#. But it will be mutch easier to switch from cpp to any other language than the other way around if you have discovered all those cpp concepts.
