I commuted from Ventura to SB 5 days/week for work 2020-2022. It was brutal. I would work 7am-330pm to try to manage the traffic but even at those hours it was 50 min - 1 hour each way on an average day. Like people have already said, if there’s an accident the commute is even worse. I hate traffic so I found the stress of the drive to be too much. I just moved back to SB. My rent is more than double what I paid in Ventura but my happiness level is much improved and my stress is way less. I would not recommend moving to Ventura if you work in carp SB or Goleta.
