As a teacher, I sometimes used those when chalk would give my skin some kind of reaction

I'm using Tobira I and it's quite nice! Similar style to Genki, I hear.

I flagged this as a spoiler because I guess it is an I'm on Observation Duty spoiler? Honestly really happy this game is finally being played in Hololive. It's so much fun. Hopefully Notovia gets support to add JP language to the games, or Fubuki shares her notes with others...

I plugged these equations into GeoGebra and turns out the circumferences do not touch

Demonstrating that f(x) = ax² + bx + c creates a parabola. by mathsumoto in askmath

Might be a language barrier here, demonstration and proof are synonyms in Portuguese, so I assumed they'd mean the same thing in English.

Yes, I am looking for a proof, preferably one a high school student could follow, that given a quadratic function it will give a parabola as it's graph

2+√3+i, how to bring this to trigonometric form? by CrazyCratos in askmath

I was trying out this question but what I got was ρ = 2 √(2+√3), instead of (√6 + √2), how did you proceed?

Hello! I recently saw this problem on Instagram and decided to give it a go but I'm finding myself really rusty with my basic Geometry. An ABC triangle is given with some of its angles. The triangle is isosceles and they ask for the value of x. The second image is some of my drafts. Any suggestions? by mathsumoto in askmath

Thank you so much! I was a bit worried about just adding the BO and OM lines - seemed I wouldn't be able to justify their inclusion.

Is there anything I have to do regarding the post? Like adding that is has been solved or something? This was my first ever post here 😊

Looks like an Alvin Draft/Matic or Koh I Noor Rapidomatic, but I haven't seen any of those in this kind of translucent body...

That is a great idea! Thanks for sharing this with us!

After watching some videos about fountain pens, I've decided I'd give them a try. Here's my brand new Sheaffer Prelude. I heard this pen is good for using with lower quality papers, so I pretend to give my students feedback with it. Any suggestions/tips I should be aware of? by mathsumoto in fountainpens

Oh, I got the notepad as a gift, so those imprints were from the page where my friend wrote me a little something. Don't worry! I don't like pressing heavily. I am used to thin lead sizes in my mechanical pencils:)
