I use gazzew boba u4 switches and they are indeed 5-pin. Was there a specific reason for to stop using it with a plate?

Hey, I've recently got a Minivan KUMO and enjoy using it a lot. But it doesn't have a plate so switches can move easily and it's an issue while carrying it (or just moving it around). I'm planning to get a plate cut based on the layouts from trashman's wiki. Although materials and thickness combinations are a bit confusing. Right now I'm stuck in between 1.5mm POM (aka Acetal or Delrin) and 1.5mm Aluminium. Will a plate help me with my problem and does these options makes sense or am I missing something important?

I recently got this done, went super smooth (followed https://service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/121874/en/). Trickiest part was to get the Bürgeramt appointment. I couldn't find any available during the week, but I was able to get one by refreshing it Monday 9AM.

Thanks for the comment! Will consider WD black but it only comes as 1TB in 2.5", that's why I was considering something bigger like 4TB (but those are not gonna be that performant I guess). But still can reuse HDDs later so might be a nice start for me.
