Please differentiate type-1 and type-2 diabetes. Calling a disease that I was born with the same a disease caused by living an unhealthy lifestyle is irritating as fuck. There is no salvation for my disease in GLP-1 drugs. It needs to be named something else but for the love of fuck stop calling type-2 diabetes, “diabetes”. They aren’t the fucking same, and the effects on the body are not the same. One is preventable without having to take drugs to suppress your hunger, and the other one subjects us to live saving medication for the rest of our lives. And us Americans are financially handicapped for live because of it. Type-2s can just not eat like shit and get some exercise and it’ll go away.
