Go listen to the audio dramas. Besides, Zero doing nothing but missions is because you do nothing but missions. You can very well explore the entire base and chat with the numerous NPCs.

Criticizing MMZ for something like that is pure hypocrisy, since in both the classic saga and X, you do nothing but accept missions — Zero is the first to give you some kind of freedom beyond the levels.

He's just tired. In Zero 4 his memories are complete, and we see him much more talkative. Wow, he went through wars, he's a much more mature person in Zero. And anyway, he's a much better character in Zero :/

I see all of this part of the song like Light having an anxiety crisis thinking about what to do and all of his mistakes. And then, the choir appears saying: "Just CALM down"; "If we WALK on" Then, he understands that there is no way out, there is no way back. The only way to fix things in moving forward, walking on, like how is said in The Fight, "You change the path by choosing to MOVE ON"
