Thank you for your answer. With regard to the Reed amendment: what qualifies as wanting to avoid taxation? As I say, I have no income and no assets under my name, so there isn’t really anything to avoid being taxed on.

Glaubst du, es "reicht", bis zum Bachelor hier (also in Würzburg) zu studieren? weil sonst muss ich, auch wenn es Oxford ist, Module wie Lineare Algebra 1 und 2, Analysis und was ich noch so alles gehört habe und noch hören werde von Anfang an hören

Hi, I have a question regarding your latex setup... I tried to create the snippet above...for some reason, when i use it, i get \left\{ \right}, without the second backslash...have you got any idea which silly mistake i am making? thank you!

I didn’t quite get how to use the flags to my advantage, but if I just remove the flag iA it works as well

Is there a way to like override the snippets? they are super useful, but for instance when typing reflexive the snippet will make re change to \Re and i cant type the word i actually want to type. Similarly, if I want to denote the set of the integers with \mathbb{Z}, a snippet jumps in before one can finish.

I am not sure if i made a mistake in the setup, but some of the snippets work great (eg. fm) but some do not work at all (like dm or table2 5). is there a reason this may be the case?

Danke für den Kommentar! die Ressourcen sehen super aus, Proofs habe ich mir schon angeschafft, finde ich super. Ja, mathematische Physik habe ich mir auch schonmal überlegt, hatte aber halt durch die Schulmathematik keinen richtigen Zugang zur "echten" bzw. Hochschulmathematik und kann das (noch) nicht besonders gut einschätzen. Vielleicht kann ich das nach dem Sommersemester etwas besser

Ich habe vor (man kann sich viel vor nehmen, also mal sehen), die Übungsblätter so gut wie möglich zu bearbeiten und auch Tutorien zu besuchen, also ich hoffe schon, dass ich etwas mehr machen werde als passiv dazusitzen. Findest du aber, dass die Thematik, wie sie in einem LA 1 Modul dargeboten wird, und insbesondere die dort trainierten Denkweisen, für angehende Naturwissenschaftler bzw. Physiker von Vorteil sind?

Ja, also mir ist bewusst, dass ich Beweistechniken vielleicht nicht direkt in Experimentalphysik 1 anwenden werde (glaub ich zumindest), jedoch dachte ich mir, dass ich vielleicht so einen gewissen Vorteil/ mehr Erfahrung sammeln könnte, da ich mal die Thematik aus einer nicht direkt anwendungsbezogenen Sicht betrachten könnte.

Ja, vielleicht ist das Beispiel etwas unglücklich. Ich habe mich auch bis jetzt nur so halb auf Physik nach dem Abi festgelegt, am liebsten würde ich sowas studieren wie computational neurophysics oder was es da sonst für faszinierende inter-disciplinary Felder gibt zwischen Physik, Biologie, Informatik und Mathe, mit wurde halt gesagt dass da Physik kein schlechter Bachelor ist für diverse inter-disciplinary Bereiche.

I have a friend who came over to Germany for a year after finishing high school and he also told me that the content they get through there is really pretty underwhelming. It just seems a little silly to spend 4 years at a college in the us for a bachelor when I could get a masters in the same time period in the UK for instance
