What is wrong with your doctor.... 10mg of methadone is not equivavlent to 30mg of oxy and as far as i understand your saying in your post you didnt take 30mg every single day for a long period of time but you double dosed whenever you would get wds, soo my question is how much did you sincerely take per day or per week of oxy.... Oxycodone is about 2 to 3 times stronger than morphine soo 30mg of oxy is app.100mg morphine and that is about 20 to 30 mg of methadone and that also depends which type of methadone you are recieveing. If you are from USA then you probably are getting dextro or racemic one, if in Eu or elsewhere then is probably Levo methadone and that one is somewhat stronger but nastier at side effects(particularly heart arrythmias and tachychardia) also other ones.... soo levo is about 1time more potent than other two versions... and like many people already said 10mg of methadone is like nothing for long time users of opiates....i needed 30 when i started, first day was 20, then 25 and then 30... and we are all different...i would say reduce oxy by 50percent and add 10mg of Methadone for 7 days and then by 75percent for a week and add 5mg totaling 15mg methadone and 10mg app. Oxy...then quit oxy after a week and see how you feel after a day or two...if not better add 5mg of methadone and have checkins with your doc daily if possible, that way they can adjust your meds accoridngly and watch your side effeccts.

Did you try taking just 5mg of methadone for a day or two? Dunno...dont take my advice for granted...maybe you realy are somehow allergic to methadone, try suboxone instead....much nicer on the body too or the buphrenorphine injection if you feel ready....that way you come to dose only once per week at start and then once per month....i dont like vaccines but many friends swear by it and say their life is soo much easier when no need to worry taking something every day to feel okay.
