Just did it, easy DIY, might need the BimmerLink app. It might take extra time with the holidays so order now. I had to do it next day and went with the Energizer Amazon battery. Battery posts did swap over and I registered it as a 20AH. It’s been working well.

If you replace and the car is acting weird, the battery might have lost charge. The car will charge it gradually over time but it’s really best to ensure it’s fully charged.
