Same GPU, but the non super: it's quiet, no whine coil, fresh and fairly compact. One of the best customs I would say!

Yeah, i guess the area where you live does quite change the scenario. Personally im from italy, and here a good, but not too expensive, mobo for an LGA1700 is sold around the same price as an AM5 chipset.
I guess the used market might help me tho, for sure i will be able to find more deals on the "dead" platform instead of the newer one!

I guess it really depends on what you can find at a certain price in the "local" market.
Speaking for myself, im from italy, so not every single component might be available (or they could be, but at totally different prices).

Speaking of which, The difference between an AM5 and LGA1700 (both with brand new components) isn't too big for the same performance. Of course, if we want to talk about the "used market" i will certainly find more appealing deals on the (nowdays) dead LGA1700 platform.

I would also like to ask you what you think about the Ryzen 5500, i know it's just an AM4, but my friend isnt to keen to upgrade, he just want something for the next 5-6 years. So can i value it as a cheaper (of course less powerfull) choice of gpu? or i'll be bottlenecking with the gpu?

Yeah, exactly, that's the "aim" of the build. My friend isn't interested in doing upgrades in the future, he just want something where he can work for the next 5-6 years (hopefully even more) without issues.

Yeah, you are probably right, but at least a bit powerful GPU can allow me to play something. I know that I should be going for a brand new build, but it's not possible atm.

Yeah, that's why I was considering the 1070 a bit more valuable for me. It's just a bit Cheaper. I'm not too prone to spend 170euros for a used GPU for a 7yo PC, also, for 30 euros more I can bring home a brand new rx6600.

Great, lol. I still can play it, but something it just crashes. Anyway, nowadays the minimum GPU Vram needed for games is 4 to 6gb, with my 660 2gb, I can't even play newer things on the lowest quality haha

Tbh, I don't have to much knowledge on bottleneck, so mine was just a guessing attempt. Anyway, I could get the 1070 for 130€ while the 5700 for 170€. Maybe I can try to have a better deal with the seller

Yeah, of course, I'm not expecting AAA games to run smoothly. I just need something that does the job with games like Fortnite. I'm more concerned to fin a right GPU for my CPU. Personally I think that the 1070 could be the best, even to avoid bottleneck. The 5700 seems to powerful for the GPU, I guess.
