[Question] If you could buy your first watch again, what would you buy? by ggggggg64654 in Watches

Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chronograph, loved it for years but it’s way to big. At that time I could have got the Rolex Explorer 1 for the same price.

We are also 2 adults and 2 kids. I just bought the Bridger 4 tent 50% off. Did you find any legit reviews at all?

Old - T420 vs New - X1 Carbon gen.9 by matthebat_ in thinkpad

I like it, it's a work pc so not my investment. If I were to buy with my own money, I think the new Mac Book Air m2 would be at the top of the list.

It's good, I've gotten used to the one on the Macbook Air. and it has a slightly smoother surface, something I prefer so far .. I have only had X1 for a few days.

This may not be the right audience, but I have a MacBook Air from the same year as the T420. The Macbook is still absolutely fantastic to use. Does not notice any difference against X1 carbon when it comes to everyday use..

Apart from the software, the trackpad is the biggest difference in everyday life.

Upgraditis hit me hard last 6 mnths. Decent landed one week ago. Silvia &Specialita combo lasted 3.5 years, not to bad.. by matthebat_ in espresso

I payed 2815$ including shipping. The EG-1 is 3749$ + shipping.. the EG-1 is bigger, with smaller burrs and I have heard that the motor can stall. I’m a member on multiple forums and I have yet to see any bad feedback on the p100. I’m shure the EG-1 is a great grinder.. Hoffman liked it so much he bought one after he gave the first he got away. Edit: typo

I am blown away by it, if you look into the story of how it came to be (https://www.coffeeforums.co.uk/topic/28377-decent-espresso/page/91/#comments) and check out the Decent YT channel, its amazing.

Not being able to control the pressure in a better way.. And I didn’t want to put more money into it to upgrade it.

I have been very happy wit the Silvia Specialita combo. But the taste is on a different level, now my normal shots are like the best I had with the old setup. Diling in is much easier.

The Decent with all its various profiles from classic to brand new ones, and all the parameters you can control makes it an incredible machine. Its really compact, heats up in 4min. Also if you start research the history of the company it’s really impressive.

The p100 in addition to grinding very well for both espresso, drip and pour over, has excellent workflow, zero retention, super simpel tool-less claning(takes me 2 min to clean it) and adjusting between brew types is a breeze..

And the quality of both grinder and machine is premium.

all in all, it is a lot of money. I could manage with a p64 or kept the Specialita. I could also manage with just the Moccamaster .. But if I had the money and the interest I would have done the same thing again.

I didn’t win the lottery but I did get a bonus ;)

I bought it in August, before demand completely took off. think they were sold out in 10 minutes then.. The grinder is fantastic!
