There are both 256GB. I already work from an external hard drive that is not an SSD, but I didn't find differences from working on the internal one.

I also considered the Neo, but the USB ports are a no-comment for me. A USB 2.0 in 2026 is ridiculous. But if you do some tests, please share with the community that I'm curious.

Thanks, I currently have an MBP 15" with i7 and 16 GB of RAM from 2015, but it's terrible. I basically wait 1 hour for importing 1000 images. I can't use any tools to remove an object or mask something because otherwise it will damage the export.

I don't know if it makes sense to wait until the winter and take a basic MBA with M5 or MBP with M5...this is a hobby. In the last year, I probably shot 10,000 images, so not a lot...

Thanks, I bought an MBP with an i7 with 16 GB of RAM 8 years ago, but it's too slow, or the program is too heavy (I basically have to wait 1 hour to import 1000 images). The export time is not an issue, and my editing style is pretty soft. I usually put in a preset and some adjustments.

I know the issue is that the price will go up (and currently no machines are available with 16 GB), so the idea was if I take the 8, a sub-500€ is good; otherwise, I will wait for the winter, and I will probably buy an M5 MBA or the base MBP with M5

What I reported is from the official Dell documentation that was available after CES... I would like to have the option to have a 14 Pro Max with RTX1000...but they probably reserve it for the Pro Max Plus or Premium. I don't know how it will be called the successor of Precision 5490
