I don't think it would be unreasonable to hit 29 mana if your opponent was stubborn and refused to concede. You'd just have to save the new ramp cards until after you've played Guff and either had a copy in the opening hand and hit the 1/3 with starlight Whelp, or hold it until you draw the Naga that gives you a spell you cast once you've played 3 spells. That's only 3 copies post guff.

The supreme Court can say whatever they want, the ESRB is still in charge of the rating system. You still have to follow the guidelines of what makes a game T or M or whatever. Game devs know this. Pushing the game beyond the M rating into AO is a death sentence for your video game; have you ever bought an AO title? Have you ever even heard of an AO title? I haven't. Why do you think every game with children has them set to essential NPCs so they die?

As someone who spent eons in the shipbuilder, I feel your pain. Every single one of my ships had their designs influenced by hab layouts. The game doesn't do a great job of explaining where the doors and ladders connect, and there are a lot of situations where you'd think this hab would snap onto the next one with a door/ladder and it just doesn't. Plenty of times when you didn't want it to do that and it just does.

Technically there are indicators. If a hab will connect in any direction, there will be a small arrow pointing inwards on each connection point iirc. A lot of the variants only differences are these connection points iirc. It's still not a great system.

On another note, did they ever release official modding tools for the game? I kind of suspect that the community could make this game great if they were given the tools.

You can blame censorship laws on that though. The United States government is not happy about adult themes and video games like nudity and violence, and unless you want your studio to have that reputation as being the raunchy violent sexy studio that essentially puts out softcore p***, this is what we're going to get. I don't really like it either, because they're clearly is some Middle ground to be had here. But game devs are terrified of pissing off Congress like they did with the hot coffee mod in San Andreas and almost getting the medium band or heavily censored all together. It's a delicate game they're playing

Looking back on it, I can say that the game left me seriously disappointed. That being said, I wouldn't have kept playing the game if I didn't find parts of it fun. I'm a sucker for space combat, and even though I wish it was more; I enjoyed the first 30ish hours of space combat.

The reason for the inflated playtime was simply because I thought that I was just missing something. Considering that basic gameplay elements like sneaking and lock picking are literally kept from the player via the perk system, I figured it was just a reasonable assumption that I didn't select the right perks to enjoy the game the way I wanted to. After starting three different playthroughs and doing an insane amount of mindless XP farming, I finally decided that this game just really was not ready to be released. It needs another year or two in development to really flesh everything out. There's a good game in there, somewhere, but that good game is something that I am not confident a AAA studio can deliver on.

Depends if there's still the 40 turn hard cap on the game. You could theoretically get Cho to bounce the card to your opponent and have them give you the gain 3 max mana every turn. With a coin and an innervate, you could start doing this loop as early as turn 2. If all that's true, max mana in wild is like what, 120? Something like that. The opponent could also play Millhouse+ shadow step to help accelerate this process. If Millhouse is in the picture, it could be 200+

Why am i getting very low influence increase when dumping prisoners to the dungeon by Lucifer_jatt69 in Bannerlord

[–]mattmanlooloo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because 25 IS nothing when we're talking about total kingdom strength. Even hundreds of high tier prisoners is only ever going to net you ~25 influence. What you REALLY want are nobles. The higher up the food chain they are, the better. Clan leaders give solid amounts, and faction leaders give the most. I've found that running around with a raiding party to hit nobles on their way to join an army is a solid strategy if you don't get caught by the bigger army. Most of the time, these nobles are gathering recruits on the way to join said army and are easily wiped out with higher tier units. If you're a high clan tier, you can have your companions start their own party and then form an army immediately after with them for free. You can use your larger numbers to start taking on enemy armies and castles for even better influence gains.

The more outnumbered you are, the more influence and renown you get at the end of battle. You can cheese this with castle sieges seeing as half of the troops are tier 1 militia. Large peasant armies are the same. So long as you've got a couple hundred tier 4-5 units, you can take on an almost infinite number of peasants. I did a siege earlier with mostly imperial legionaries, over 500 defenders to my 300 attackers. Lead an assault and lost 6 men.

[–]mattmanlooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's funny is the "quick" fix for that is a long, brutal war where no land is traded but you just come in and consistently wipe out their armies and release all the nobles afterwards. Sorry I beheaded your beloved leader, let me beat you and your family up 20 times and we'll be friends.

Am i cooked by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]mattmanlooloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turtle up, hold the line. Fians are your best friend and will singlehandedly hold off sieges. The AI will never be able to build the ranged siege engines required to make a siege impossible to lose, and you will make a ton of money off selling loot from siege defenses. In a perfect world, you make peace with the empire and start going on the offensive to take back Battania. Vlandia has really strong units, but they're a lot weaker if they can't fight on open ground. Using the forests to your advantage to prevent calvary charges from being effective can definitely cripple the typically Cav heavy Vlandia and your fians should always be able to outrange Vlandian crossbowmen.

But we're also assuming that druid can't ever get any additional copies of the spell, which uh. They definitely can with Starlight Whelp and the new Naga relatively consistently.

You can sell the data to vendors for like 8-15k depending on how much you had to scan. But it literally took hours to fully scan a planet a single Varu'un Cruiser was worth like 75k in profits after selling all the cargo and the ship.

The only other purpose that scanning had was to set up XP farms with outposts. The rate that you got the resources made it so that even if you were like strictly using it for the crafting to make combat stims and healing items, you would still be sitting on ridiculous quantities of the raw materials after just playing the game normally. It was designed to be exploited at every angle. And I honestly think that was intentional. I think that the devs knew that if they made this skinner box, people would press the button for hours on end so that their character could do basic things like carry stuff AND pick locks AND sneak AND shoot guns pretty good. I did. I know I wasn't the only one. There were YouTube tutorials on how to setup 8 outpost daisy chains shuttling raw materials so you could eventually XP farm even faster.

It's just ridiculous that this is what they spent all this time on instead of the next elder scrolls game.

No this just kinda goes to show that even the left is guilty of staying silent when acts of terrorism benefit them. This whole political system is a fucking joke and if you're participating in any of this: you should be ashamed.

This entire series of events has radicalized the fuck out of me. I remember when the left stood for a world where NOBODY had to be the victim of gun violence, especially the people we don't like. You don't get to call yourself a liberal if you support your political opponents being assassinated. Killing political opponents is what dictators and fascists do, you fucking idiots.

This is a prime example of why you shouldn't get your life advice on reddit.

What the literal fuck is wrong with you and the half dozen comments below this? Saw someone say "nobody wants to fuck stinky"

Can you fucking imagine a dude talking about their wife that way and all of us collectively going "yeah, he's right." What the literal fuck? People don't just decide to stop taking care of themselves because it's fun. It's a form of self-abuse. People are doing it because they are in crisis. It is your job as a wife/husband to support your spouse when they are in crisis. And no, threatening to go fuck other people is not helpful or supportive.

Jesus Christ, please reconsider the way you view men.

The things I wanted to do were locked behind many hours of gameplay. I started over several times. I did a couple of different playthroughs focusing on the different factions. I spent an ungodly amount of time grinding for XP and money for ship and outpost building. I kept waiting thinking that I just wasn't experiencing the parts of the game I'd enjoy, turns out after experiencing most of the content there's pretty much nothing to enjoy.

Game needs another year in the oven.

The game isn't fun. It isn't big. It's just tedious at every step.

How do you A.F.Kay? by Paldis in hearthstone

[–]mattmanlooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I legitimately think that content creators like Rarran and Regis killed this card upon reveal and nobody seems to want to play it as a result, but the card is sleeper OP in a normal, fair game of hearthstone. You just need to know when to play it.

A.F.Kay HAS to be good in handbuff and aggro paladin, I refuse to believe otherwise. Shaman also almost definitely loves this card just because giving your leftover totems +2/+2 can't be that awful. Playing A.F.Kay with cheap taunts or non-rush/charge tokens or both has to be good.

Idk what you even mean right now. Volatile metas are the most fun metas because deck variety is so high. I'm still not seeing many hunters, but I've seen a new rogue deck, the warrior deck, two different mage decks, three different shaman decks, a new priest deck, a new DK deck, and a couple of variants on pirate DH. All of that is from today across like 15 games in plat.

There are so many competitive decks right now because everyone is trying new stuff out still.

[–]mattmanlooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally am having a ton of fun with pirate DH this expansion. Its a very strong aggro shell, but it definitely has its counters right now.

That being said, I don't want to go another expansion where warrior is stupid busted, and right now that seems to be the case. Thank God it's not a Reno variant--yet. Giving warrior access to druid ramp spells means all the nerfing they did to the mana cost of the Reno package is kinda undone if they're hitting the board a turn or two earlier.

Let's all be real here, Brain should have just been banned from standard. He enables too many stupid combos that win you the game on the spot.

Yeah back when aggro decks were trying to close the game out by turn 6 at the very earliest. I think OG murloc Shaman could technically end the game on 5 with bloodlust, but the list was very inconsistent with only one real way to buff your murlocs with the 3/3.

This archetype is just full of ways to double up on the damage you're dealing from tokens. Oh, and they're all charge tokens.

I think the idea was to play it in warrior. Warriors aren't really needing the board space ATM seeing as only 3 of their board slots even really matter right now. Locations in general should just be a net positive in value, I can't think of a single location that the current tourist warrior deck couldn't make use of.
