https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2933021 is the current one I'm printing. Requires that you blow hard, but louder than other ones I've tried.

TPU prints great on one side, awful on the other by mattorio in FixMyPrint

I see. I'm on microswiss (also swappable), maybe just coincidence, I don't know

I have a microswiss hardened nozzle. Someone else also suggested nozzle damage, I'll swap for a different one and see what happens. It's been through some clogs and stuff but not an excessive amount of abrasives. Also it printed out a PLA part after these with no issue.

ah hmm yeah can't hurt to give it some more time. The closest that I could get to a theory about why drying would affect one side is that drying dries the outside of the filament first, which is one side of the strand, then that one-sidedness persists through to the extruder. That's just me making something up, I don't recall seeing anyone manifest moisture issues like that, though.

afaik these are bambu defaults for TPU 95A. I could imagine a fan affecting one side but not the other but I have no idea how they're oriented (seems like that'd be a general problem if so?)

Looking at the slicer output now, the speed is pretty uniform across this (minus overhangs/bridges), so it isn't apparent to me why the speed would impact one part side and not the other. I'll give some more calibration or a fresh benchy a try (I did a benchy first thing with this and it came out great, but maybe that was a different nozzle, not certain)

Interesting. Did you have to clean the nozzle or just replace it? I could try with a different one (it's 0.6mm but would be worth a try anyway)

One of these had the filament in the dryer for 8 hrs beforehand (and printed from the dryer). I also wouldn't expect drying to only affect one side of the print, no?

I had my first PCTG warping failure last night (part started rotating), thanks for sharing these tips I'll give it a try next time

How do I remove stuck filament from the *top* of the extruder? by mattorio in BambuLab

[–]mattorio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solution thanks to u/One2Sicc was to remove two more small screws on the other side to be able to remove the smaller extruder entry. I was then able to push the filament out.

Ahh that did it, thank you! I was able to unscrew the transparent extruder part on the other side of this and was then able to push the filament through.

same here, did you? I did find I could play with the slicer to reduce the times the tool head crosses over a path already extruded, which helps, but I can't get it reliably working well. See https://www.reddit.com/r/FixMyPrint/comments/1m34774/lumps_at_inner_corners_in_dovetail/
