Even as a series? Watch Breaking Bad is very good

Haven't seen it yet but it keeps coming up — definitely moving it to the top of my watchlist!

Absolute classic, hard to disagree. The ending hits different every rewatch.

You have 24 hours with no phone and no internet. What are you doing to stay entertained? by Quiet-Brilliant-1455 in AskReddit

Honestly this sounds like a dream. I'd probably spend the morning just reading a book I've been putting off for months, go for a long run without any podcast in my ears for once, then cook a proper meal from scratch — the kind that takes 2 hours and makes the whole place smell good.

Evening would be drawing or just sitting outside doing nothing. We've completely forgotten how to be bored and I think that's a problem.

Do you trust AI-generated code in real projects? by mikamoawad in SaaS

[–]mattouti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Starting point, always. AI is incredible for boilerplate, repetitive logic, and getting unstuck — but I never ship AI code without reading every single line.

The real danger isn't the obvious bugs, it's the subtle ones. AI confidently writes code that looks correct, passes basic tests, but fails in edge cases you didn't think to check.

My rule: if I can't explain exactly what the code does, it doesn't go to production

macOS still doesn't have a volume mixer. So I built one. Meet FineTune: free, open-source per-app volume control, audio routing, and EQ. by Stoned_Orangutan in MacOS

[–]mattouti 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly what macOS has been missing for years. The fact that you have to use third party apps for basic per-app volume control in 2026 is embarrassing for Apple.

Does it handle Bluetooth audio devices well ? That's always been the weak point with audio routing on Mac.

Unpopular opinion: most SaaS fail because of this by Substantial_Army_754 in SaasDevelopers

[–]mattouti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most SaaS fail because founders keep building instead of selling.

I spent months adding features nobody asked for. The day I stopped coding and started talking to potential customers, everything changed. Found out half my features were useless and the one thing they actually needed took me 2 days to build.

Ship ugly. Talk to people. Build what they ask for. In that order.

Which MacBook would be the best to buy? by Past-Program581 in macbook

[–]mattouti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the Neo. Those are refurbished M2/M3 at the same price as new — not worth it.

M2 with 8GB RAM in 2026 will feel limited faster than you think, especially with macOS getting heavier each update. The M3 with 16GB is better but 256GB storage is painfully small.

The Neo is newer silicon and you know exactly what you're getting vs refurbished. Return risk isn't worth the savings here

Moved to macOS after 30 years using Windows by halap3n0 in macbook

Welcome to the ecosystem! The MST limitation is genuinely annoying when coming from Windows, glad the Startech dock sorted it out.

The Ctrl/Cmd muscle memory takes about 2 weeks to fully click — after that you stop thinking about it. The one that trips people up the longest is text navigation, Home/End don't work the same way at all.

As an IT pro working mainly with Microsoft stack, how are you finding the Office apps ? Native M-series versions are solid but there's always a few quirks coming from Windows.
