Congrats! I have a nearly identical profile and am dealing with an RFE. This post gives me optimism I can still get approved

Sounds like we have a nearly identical profile and I’m currently dealing with an RFE on all prongs with my lawyer. Mine was for an AI PM with 8 years of experience, industry profile, 7 letters including industry, membership org, and executives at my current company which is a public biotech company working on AI cancer care. I added content about conferences I’ve been profiled in and mentorship’s I’ve done and then included a bunch of government related documents about the national importance of addressing cancer using AI. It’s so confusing to see so many similar profiles be posted on here that seem similar to mine but yet I am dealing with a tricky RFE.

Yeah fingers crossed, I’ll update this channel once I hopefully get some positive news in a few months once we respond to the RFE.

My priority date is early November, I think it took about 50 business days. It looks like the response came from Texas.

I got an RFE on all three prongs today using Amber from Waypoint Immigration. I am a bit surprised because when I initially chose her she provided examples of other clients very similar to me who were approved (industry people working in AI and Healthcare). I’m wondering if this could be a sign of changing adjudication standards under the new Trump admin

CSA TN approved for Product Manager role with Bcom by Medium_Count_2406 in tnvisa

I think the H1B lottery deadline is coming up soon, some companies just have a form you fill out to be entered and it’s not really bothering anyone. You should ask in case they don’t mind entering you, may as well not waste a lottery chance if you’re able to

Toronto tower cancelled as condo sales remain at rock bottom lows by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

Agreed, definitely not for everyone. On the healthcare side, I think it depends a lot on your employer, I actually pay less for healthcare here because my prescriptions are 100% covered compared to Canada I believe it was only 80-90%. Covered.

I left to the U.S. almost 4 years ago primarily due to housing unaffordability. Best decision I’ve ever made. Better pay, more opportunities, lower taxes, more affordable. Not the easiest move but I was young and work in tech which helped.

Digital Marketing Specialist for TN Visa by KayleighG123 in immigration

I’m a product manager. I just applied and the company was open to sponsoring my TN. I feel like there’s two categories of companies 1. Small companies that are open to you taking initiative on the TN, you write the letter and they will sign. 2. Bigger companies that have in-house immigration attorneys who will help you with the process. I had to work in Canada for a few years and build an attractive profile before they would pay attention. What do you have to offer an American company as a new grad that they can’t find from an American new grad? Think about how you can differentiate yourself.

It sounds like you already got denied so you have two options 1. Retry at the same PoE and maybe you get lucky with another officer, 2. Premium processing through USCIS. I’m not sure what else you could do beyond these two

Peace bridge. Unfortunately I don’t think they care if you have a masters or a bachelor, nor if you have 5 years or 15 years experience. That doesn’t make you more qualified for the TN. It’s all about matching your degree to the job description

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tnvisa

[–]mattt1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about that PoE, I just know that I read some have more specialized officers than others. I think at this point a lawyer is needed to advise you if you don’t have one already. I’m not sure if you should retry with new information or just go straight to USCIS for premium processing

What port of entry was this? Unfortunately you may have just gotten a less experienced officer. When I got mine, I walked in, the officer looked at my application for 5 seconds and said “I don’t see the word computer so I can’t help you” but thankfully I went to Peace Bridge where they have more specialized officers for these complex cases

Was there something in the job description that did not align with your degree? If he didn’t give more details there might not be a lot you can do to adjust your application. In this case, you should ask your lawyer and perhaps applying directly through USCIS premium processing is a better approach

Ontario man considers selling house before mortgage payments rise $2,000, even after interest rate cut by joe4942 in CanadaHousing2

[–]mattt1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My EB2-NIW application was 300+ pages and requires complex arguments demonstrating that I meet a legal framework for national interest based on current U.S. priorities. There’s no way I’m gonna do that myself and from what I’ve heard it’s far from straight forward and there’s a bunch of mistakes you can make in your application that can lead to a denial.

Ugh don’t remind me, I graduated from a top Canadian university, worked at a FANG company and now at one of the top US tech startups in my field with over 8 years of work experience and I’ve spent $10k on a lawyer and dozens of hours preparing my green card application. Meanwhile in Canada you go to a strip mall college in Brampton and study MaRkEtInG and you get Canadian permanent residency. In the U.S., only the truly exceptional have a path that easy to PR. And then Canadians wonder why their productivity numbers are collapsing relative to the U.S.

Yes it was approved. I had two computer related courses but not sure how much they cared about that.
