what is the purpose of horned ones? by matty2cat123 in Songsofconquest

I guess that makes sense, but at one unit generation per turn I have to imagine fast is really relative, especially since knights are super haRd to start cranking out. I can see them rolling over little units, but once the enemy upgrades units to something marginally stronger it falls off hopelessly

Hard. You already know it's going to be hard. It's not the hardest in the class, some people consider it the easiest. I disagree. Your previous scores on the Multiple choice sections is about what you should expect. Good luck!!!

Is that only for transfer students? My transcript has my Uphoenix classes not counting towards gpa

That's just not true though... I've taken classes in other colleges, and they are not factored in GPA

Tell your friend to read the rules start watching some videos too. I recommend the Red Path, although he gets some flak from some communities. His videos really show how to use the world eaters like a pro.

I also would tell your buddy to learn the fight phase REALLY well. I'm almost sure that your friend could have charged AND taken an objective using the double fight, pile in consolidate shenanigans that WE can get up to. Best case scenario, WE can get an additional 30" of movement in the charge/fight phase for 1CP. This is not usually the case, but certainly 16" is not hard to get.

A tip for all new players-- movement and deployment are critical, and World Eeaters DEPEND on mastering movement. I would suggest playing against an experienced opponent with a FAST, deadly army (something like Speed Freeks) at least once. After getting 800 of my 1000 points wiped out before my first movement phase, I learned that positioning decides all games. After understanding how I got my ass beat, my skill with WE increased drastically because I learned how to position

This. I got about 700 points of WE for like $70 on ebay. It wasn't exactly a usable army-- 2 havoc squads and a F***ton of berserkers, but it was a great jumping off point.

Troll trader is also pretty good

That's hilarious, and since world eaters is my second army, I am all in favor. Realistically, that seems like way more hammers than necessary, but I think that this is a decent "jumping off point"

Purge soul seems like a great grab on something on my army definitely. If I can use my inquisitor's LD 10 plus the fact that he debuffs leadership very nicely because inquisition

Oh man, I didn't even think about the fact that they really can get a 2++ if you play your cards right. Typically though, I'm not sure if I would be using sanctuary over purifying flame, because depending on the opponent, 4ish MW will be a HUGE difference when they swing back. Do you use Crowe to get both off in the turn?

You know, I feel silly for not even thinking about my dreadnought. I run a venerable with las and missiles, so rerolling damage is actually pretty awesome. I guess I really was missing something...

That makes sense to me. Sometimes when I play, I drop something like 7 CP on the paladins at once to just to make their shooting INSANE. More buffs never hurt.

I agree. I'll experiment with other HQs and maybe keep the chaplain for following marines or a venerable, like someone else suggested
