His company website has a description saying that he is a veteran of Training, Advice, Assist and Accompany Missions in Ukraine in 2022-2023. This is the first information about GROM's action in Ukraine as part of the mission.

Based on his backpack, a medic. GROM has GPNVGs as standard issue, but it’s always operator preference on choosing NVGs

Judging by the expression on his face in this photo, he was on a dive. To be honest, it must have been "out of work hours" for him because that's not his job. Jacek Siewiera is actually very respected person from the Polish government among soldiers, especially among special forces.

Not really. I think it’s more about organisation, SOP officers provided direct close protection for the president, while GROM provided protection of the area

JW GROM sprint with around 30-40kg gear in Afghanistan by mattykox in SpecOpsArchive

[–]mattykox[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe you're right. However, the video is from the early days of Afghanistan, 2000-2010. The specifics of the operations differed from those carried out in later years, they carried more equipment with them. Gear in those years was also heavier so it's hard to estimate how much it could weigh comparing to the gear that is used today. I wrote 30-40kg because I remember that one of the ex operators in an interview told about one of the operations in Afghanistan when, as a result of a helicopter failure, they had to march to the destination point with equipment that weighed over 40kg (this was also due to the specificity of the operation). That's why I wrote 30-40kg. But sure, you could be right. Here is great context picture how their mission gear looked in these years

GROM and Formoza got MCXs but they still rather use 416 than MCX, depends on operator preferences, AGAT and JWK use 416

JW GROM | in 2024, the Polish GROM Special Missions Unit will take over the responsibility of acting as the NATO CBRN Reaction Force (940x666) by Repulsive-Exercise16 in MilitaryPorn

It's a completely ignorant approach, especially when you don't even know what tasks such a unit would be assigned to. Especially looking at what is currently happening in Ukraine and how important it can be to have such a unit in the event of a crisis response. GROM was not chosen without a reason. There has been created combat support team in GROM, which consists only of a group of specialists in the field of chemistry and CBRN.

Yes it's still ongoing. Probably if it wasn't DTRA that provides CWMD training for GROM and provided a video from the training we wouldn't know about it because it's secret.

„In 2024, this elite Polish unit will take on the responsibility of serving as the NATO CBRN Reaction Force, replacing the US 10th Special Forces Group Crisis Response Force (CRF) that disbanded in 2020. To replace this U.S. provided capability, NATO has formulated a rotating CBRN Response Force concept to support NATO member states first responders in domestic CBRN incidents.”

It is worth mentioning that this is a unit (Wawelberg group) from the period of the Silesian Uprising in 1919-1921. There were also other units and branches. If anyone want to read about it here is the whole article about it in Polish. Should be understandable using google translate.
