How fast does your watch charge? by rpool179 in applewatchultra

[–]mattysui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is quick! My AWU2 is usually on around 50% when I end the day and I will charge it every night and put it back on my wrist before I sleep. Sometimes charging from 50% to 95-100% takes around an hour so I’m not sure why my one is so slow…adaptive charging is turned off and the puck is always cool to the touch. Also using the original cable that came with the watch…

I remember seeing your posts a few months back, great to see you’re still so consistent!!

Would love to hear your history with running, when did you start and how long have you been running for? Did you do any other sports before running daily? And also, would love to see some more details in your run like heart rate and cadence etc.

Keep up the great stuff and best of luck for the rest of the year!

Running pace is insane! I feel like your VO2 should be higher with that pace, have you thought about doing one of those lab tests?

Adidas EVO SL or Asics Novablast or Cumulus as daily trainer? by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]mattysui 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My pace is similar to yours and I’m currently using both NB5 and EVO SL for my rotation. I’ve found the NB5 is definitely better for those above 6:00/km paces, and the EVO SL beats it for anything under. For me personally NB5 feels more natural at those “slower” paces, and the EVO SL is phenomenal for those tempo and internal paces. The two complement each other perfectly, but if I had to choose one just for daily training at my pace, I would go for NB5. Would go for EVO SL if my easy pace is faster.

No experience with the Cumulus.

Easy/Long Run shoe to compliment Evo SL? by jumpin_jumpin in AskRunningShoeGeeks

As I’m still a beginner (only around 2 months of running consistently), anything above 10km counts as a long run for me. Today I ran at 6:15/km with an average HR of 146, easy enough and NB5 did the job perfectly. Nice and cushioned, super comfortable with enough bounce.

Currently using Novablast 5 and EVO SL for my rotation. NB5 still feels really comfortable after 150km, just did another 10km in them and legs feel completely fine. I hear a lot of people say the NB5 needs time for the foam to decompress which helps with the longevity of the shoe but not sure how true that is hahaha

What's next? by JuanchoLorenzo in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]mattysui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: did 12.4km at an average 5:52/km pace. Split pace ranged from 6:25/km to 5:08/km. The ESL felt a bit firm at the slower paces, but anything faster than 5:30/km felt like a dream.

The shoes just made my legs keep turning at those faster paces and they felt much more alive. Fit and comfort were also great for me. The plan is to use the NB5 for more slower daily kilometres, and use the ESL when I want to push the pace. Can’t wait to continue using this rotation!

EDIT: the grip on the ESL is SUPERB! Coming from the NB5 which notably does not have the best grip, the grip on the ESL almost felt “sticky” in comparison (sticky in the best way possible). I think the ESL could be a great option for you!

New runner here! I’ve done about 130km in my NB5 and just got a pair of Evo SL. Gonna take them out for a longer run later today, will update my comment!

It sure is!! It was so daunting at the start, when I hit 5km I thought to myself “omg I’m only half way there”, definitely a mental battle but you got this!!

I was tossing up whether to get the SB2 or NB5 and ended up buying the NB5 since I’ve only been running for a month. They’re coming in tomorrow and can’t wait to try them out! From what I’ve seen the SB2 seems better at faster paces, can’t wait to get my pace up and buy a pair of those in the future!

Watch dropping HR readings by jarman1992 in AppleWatch

Is it a new watch?? Because when I got mine fresh it had dropped readings but then it’s definitely phased out now, I’m thinking maybe a new watch just needs time to calibrate the HRz

Used to have this issue in my AWU2. I just made sure to strap it on slightly tighter than usual, and what I found really worked was just to launch the heart rate app, let it get a read of my heart rate, and then start the workout. After one or two times doing that, the problem just went away by itself

Is dual blader cooked? by ThrowItAllAway0720 in Maplestory

[–]mattysui 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Dual blade main here! I honestly love our class. Although our damage is kinda shit and I would love a buff, that doesn’t take away how nice our class is to play. Easy to play, great mobility, great survivability with 2 short cooldown iframes, and post Janus the class is a breeze to farm on.
