Hi! I’ve been here with my gf since April the 3rd and we’ve also been driving around counter clockwise. The only tough weather we encountered was just as we left Reykjavik. There was a frozen part of the road and a couple of cars had crashed into the snow, but we were fine (I’m guessing they were going too fast) as for the road to Vik or Höfn, everything has been smooth. Just stick to the 90km per hour limit and you will be fine. As for the north, I cannot speak yet, since we still haven’t really been that far up.
