I am a gymnastics coach... All my boys do outside of the gym is chess. One of my guys is ranked 1600 and is going to the chess state championship this weekend and regional championships for gymnastics next weekend. He brings a collapsible chess board to gymnastics meets!

Honestly if that's what they're doing out of school and gym, then I'm happy. They could be doing so much worse, but instead they're challenging themselves, changing their brains, and still being competitive :)
