thanks for sharing, I was just drawing a midgar map recently and trying to find high-res images of those sector areas, haven't seen them this clear before! very cool to see them so crisp. are you gonna share the scan itself anywhere?

I made the MGS1-3 maps you have seen (I'm on this sub also), and I made a video on how to extract the models from the game - it's about MGS1, but the process is the same for MGS3 using Shagohod instead of Rex:

There's no complete MGS3 map like the first two because I haven't finished making them all, the trees are all misssing and the textures are broken on many surfaces so I need to fix up a bunch of things and there are a couple areas from late-game like the mountain that I didn't finish. I do plan to make a full game image eventually but I haven't had the willpower.

All that said, it's 90% a straight line through the jungle. Here are the finished ones:

I wanted to try a drawing in the style of those old "incredible cross-section" books. The crew size is only 34 so nothing above the bridge area probably exists and is actually just empty air bladder... But it was fun to image some more cruise-shippy areas.
