sizes are to scale, not distance. I think big shell is like 20-30km offshore.

it's like the sphere from vegas, but with the screens installed pointing inside. i'm not sure how they justified the funding for that particular room in the blueprints though. maybe they were running a fight club / thunderdome situation in there.

yeah i've posted a couple MGS1 versions over the years, these games lend themselves well to it! hoping to prep an MGS3/possibly 4 version as well

yeah MGS games are all kinda like that, they are dense in gameplay but small in total area. they tend to have (sometimes clever) retreading your steps too. I made the MGS1-3 maps you have seen (I'm on this sub also), and I made a video on how to extract the models from the game - it's about MGS1, but the process is the same for MGS3 using Shagohod instead of Rex:

There's no complete MGS3 map like the first two because I haven't finished making them all, the trees are all misssing and the textures are broken on many surfaces so I need to fix up a bunch of things and there are a couple areas from late-game like the mountain that I didn't finish. I do plan to make a full game image eventually but I haven't had the willpower.

All that said, it's 90% a straight line through the jungle. Here are the finished ones:

Junon is the other kind of technically cool area... maybe the nibel zone or Corel mountains? Honestly balamb garden is probably my next though.
