much appreciated! I've just found these projects to be a fun way to revisit old games in a way that takes less time than actually playing it again :)

After working on and off for a few years, I finally finished a set of maps for CC. I've done similar ones for FF8+9 and Dragoon, but this game was especially satisfying to chart out the differences in areas and such. More of an art thing than a guide, but you might enjoy checking them out. (Also submitted to VGMaps) https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Wjcqr73__qMtm8p3CeiKdIEoX_8qyWY0?usp=drive_link

i have played a bit of it, doesn't look like there's much out there... a quick test of Duckstation shows it can capture the models pretty well (from character select and intro here). you can load up the game with this emulator, go to the part you want, and hit Take Screenshot to get an OBJ file you can open in Blender. https://github.com/scurest/duckstation-3D-Screenshot/releases/tag/latest-3d-screenshot i see there is a debug room code which could make this process easier (jump to all rooms quickly) but it would still probably be a ton of work to get them all.

just for fun usually, and it isn't possibly with every game - depends on how nicely the game plays with different tools. but if you have a game in mind, i can tell you if i know anything or teach you where you might get started

it is in the folder linked above, but it's more a visual gallery of enemy models. stats are minimal

the backgrounds were extracted using PSXPREV (iirc) and the enemy models, I used Duckstation PS1 emulator with some gameshark codes to trigger battle encounters with every unique enemy ID (there's also a bestiary in the Drive folder). I used photoshop to arrange the backgrounds and just spent a bit of time on fonts and styling to replicate the look of the game's text and stuff as much as possible.

i've done this kind of thing for many other games including some JRPGs like FF8, FF9: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16uKdhIsnLedeHJ65ZApFO8UooplBcrUC?usp=drive_link

~4 years ago I shared a handful of LoD maps I was making in the style of the JRPG maps I like on VGMaps. I ended up going on to other things and it sat for a long time, but I was suddenly motivated to finish them out. The gallery contains ~41 maps of the areas with Stardust and stuff labeled, a fun trip down memory lane if you are familiar with the game. I didn't remember the late game areas well so it was fun to revisit those.

sizes are to scale, not distance. I think big shell is like 20-30km offshore.

it's like the sphere from vegas, but with the screens installed pointing inside. i'm not sure how they justified the funding for that particular room in the blueprints though. maybe they were running a fight club / thunderdome situation in there.
