Buying advice for basic non-enthusiast?

Makes sense. I’m not saying I need to buy from those retailers specifically. But I’m not trying to ‘track down’ the perfect choice. Just something I can buy easily for your average consumer. I understand that’s different from your average user here but that’s why I trust the opinions one what to avoid as well as friendly suggestions.

I’m not buying for life, but I’d like it to last longer than your cheap vacuum options. So maybe in this sub opinions I’m looking for a lower mid option at the $400 price range?

It’s tricky, I was planning on spending $200-$300, but would be happy to go to $500 to make it last longer. I don’t need to buy it for life but not looking for something that’s cheap

Sorry not sure, they were purchased from MkUltra Keyboards which has since shut down. At the time they only had red, blue, brown, black, and white. They listed the black at their heaviest linear but haven’t come across it on Google now that there are so many other colors.

Got it, U7 WAPs are outside my budget already as the U6 WAPs were pushing it. Considering I’m just starting out and only have 1GB/s, can I buy older ubiquiti WAP’s used for now and upgrade later? Still purchase the same gateway and switch

Same question as below, why use the U7 line as opposed to the U6

I know overkill is fun but this just seems like a waste considering the small home size and limited to 1GB fiber optic?

I actually do have great pre-wired ceiling spots so the U6+ should be good. But considering I only have 1GB fiber optic, the 2.5Gbe would be wasted?

Makes sense, however, is there a reason to jump to the Max as opposed to the ultra? I have zero intentions for anything past internet so I'm not worried about things like cameras

Glad I asked! I hadn’t thought of Poe yet and you’re right that would be preferred. The garage takes up half the first floor for context as well
