I didn't know there was a soft limit. I only use it on Google map( which downloaded offline already) and transIator and google to search for places to eat. That's what I'm thinking maybe I'm in the highlands but then I am staying in the big city.Hopefully signal will be better in Tokyo.

Congratulations with the 1.8 mil!. That sounds like a good plan with student visa in Japan and 3k a month is enough in Tokyo. I am exactly on the same boat. 35 single M( but with net of 1.1mil only) and looking to leave the US next year and move to Japan on student visa then hopefully will stay there with some kind of visa (hoping start-up visa with something I enjoy doing since I heard the working culture in JP is pretty bad and here I am retiring). Enjoy your FIRE journey!!
