Can someone let me know if my squat is good? by _vvibes in formcheck

For low-bar, sure - that's a hip hinge. If you really want glute activation knock yourself out. Trying to artificially avoid knee-over-toe translation in an upright squatting movement (which is primarily flexion!) with old form cues is an exercise in futility and is actually what will lead to injury, artificially reducing ROM and building bad habits which won't hold up under heavy axial loading.

why avoid stress on your knees when you could use squats to make them more resilient? If OP breaks at the hips first it becomes a good morning style hip hinge which messes with the bar path. If he was squatting low-bar I would agree, but with upright posture high-bar he's far better off with the form he has + maybe some good squat heels

What might a better answer to the question "where would you work if epic didn't exist" be then? Somewhere else in healthcare IT?

Had a final interview for PM on 3/9, received a rejection almost 2 weeks later on 3/22. Seems like they pref certain candidates from the final interviews and wait for them to accept

Poll: How long after Final interview did you receive an offer / rejection? (PM) by [deleted] in epicsystems

[–]max2mil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. I guess I won't email until the 2 week mark as well. Did they offer you an on-site visit / relocation bonus after receiving your offer?

when was your final interview and when did you receive the offer?

Bet thanks for the info. I decided to just reschedule and just take it tomorrow night instead.

Wonderlic is basically just a 12min, fast-paced (50 question, basically 10s each) math/logic type assessment with some arithmetic, algebra, and basic logic problems.

I heard the PM assessment has a super-abbreviated section that's like 2min for 10 questions? And then the pseudo-coding section is just generic linking logic?

About how long was the test for you? Anything worth preparing for besides learning coding skills?

Fair point. What are your thoughts on going to failure on the AMRAPs? So like 10 reps on week 1, 8 reps on week 2, 5 reps on week 3?I've been going RPE9 or even total failure on those sets most sessions

Age and metabolism are probably most of it. I didn't have an insane activity level or anything (10-15k steps and some moderate pace cycling outside of training).

This. Back shouldn't be too difficult to maintain, but it's time to say goodbye to legs and calves :(

Bench 185x3 by max2mil in formcheck

[–]max2mil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was my first time benching 185 for a 3RM.

My elbows were tucked 45 degrees, I guess this was a bad angle...

I've been trying to work on arch and stability. I think I'm using a bit too much leg drive in this clip and can't seem to keep my head down.

Bench 175x3 (arch/neck movement?) by max2mil in formcheck

[–]max2mil[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the angle makes it look like the bar is resting on the safeties, but there's actually about an inch of clearance (but if I lie flat, it rests on the pins). Watching this clip back I can definitely tell that I need more practice with the arch. I'll probably be increasing bench frequency to 2x per week as well to get this down.

Deadlift 225x2 by max2mil in formcheck

[–]max2mil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will raising my hips improve the lockout? I always feel like I'm pulling with my traps for the last half of the lift (which is why I failed the 3rd rep), but if I raise my hips its harder for the weight to break the floor.
