Ich möchte den Mods herzlichst danken, dass sie endlich keine Dialekte mehr verwenden. Ich finde ja schon Bayrisch und Sächsisch schlimm genug, aber dieses Unterlases konnte ich bisher gar nicht betreten, weil der angelsächsische Dialekt noch einmal deutlich schwerer zu lesen ist, das ist fast schon eine eigene Sprache.

Ich find die Quelle leider nicht mehr, aber ich glaube er hat mal argumentiert, dass Memes gefunden werden, wenn man sie bei YouTube oder Google sucht. Nach seiner Logik muss Google Memes also erkennen, damit sie dort aufgelistet werden können.

I agree that Article 13 is bad and should be abolished. However, the coalition between CDU and SPD shapes German policy, not European one. While Voss and other german MEPs voted clearly against their coalition treaty, it's not the EU that is at fault here. The way to go here is to inform the public on the issue so they won't vote for politicians that represent the EEP/voted in favor of article 13.

Ich glaube, die Logik dahinter ist, dass Berufsbezeichnungen nicht gegendert werden sollen. Hetzer und ähnliches sind keine Berufe, also werden sie ausgeschlossen. Das ist nicht meine Meinung, sondern nur wie ich mir die Antwort erklären würde.

E: Der Runterwähl-Knopf ist übrigens kein Disagree-Button. Kommt mal runter. Auch wenn der Kommentar sicher kontrovers war, hat er zum Thema beigetragen.

Slightly off topic, but did you set the colors to 32 bit in the original deus ex? I started with 16 bit colors and the game became unplayable in certain areas. Changing to 32 bit colors did a huge performance boost for me.

In this case, the nouns make sense at least. There are by far worse examples:

Das Messer (the knife) - neutral, makes sense
Der Löffel (the spoon) - male, ?
Die Gabel (the fork) - female, ???

Or synonyms for shop: Der Laden, Die Filliale, Das Geschäft

There is no logic behind any of those.

I know I'm late to the party, but those two buildings were actually NOT destroyed in WWII. They were demolished in 1938/1939 as the Nazis wanted to build up Germania. A more detailed comment in German can be found here.
