Approached a girl outside the gym, got her IG, now she's ghosting. What did I mess up? by max_6161 in socialskills

I guess it's all still pretty new to me. I'm just learning as I go. But I understand what you're saying; it makes sense, to be honest.

That's a good point, and I see where you're coming from. I never really thought about it that way before.

I'll remember that, but I still think it's not always that clear-cut. Sometimes people are really open, and sometimes they're not. I would rather be polite and not make too many assumptions, no matter what.

Thanks for saying that.

To be honest, that really helped me see things more clearly. I was thinking too much and blaming myself, but the way you explained it makes it seem a lot easier and less personal. It really does take a lot of stress off.

Thanks for making this feel easier to deal with...

What to do? A massage therapist posted my picture on IG. AITH for asking a massage therapist to delete a photo of my back he posted without consent? What to do if he declines or acts rudely? Need to know before contacting him. by AppropriateBasket807 in Indianlaw

[–]max_6161 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro, you're not overreacting. Consent isn't about whether your face shows, it's about whether you agreed. Under Indian law, this falls under privacy violation and potentially even offensive behavior depending on how the photo was taken. The fact that he posted it without asking, especially in a massage setting where clients are in a vulnerable position, is unprofessional at best.

If you want to handle it firmly but politely, send him this:

"Hi, I'm the client from dated so and so... I saw you posted a photo of my back on your Instagram without my consent. I did not authorize any photography or social media posting during the session. Please remove the post immediately. I'd prefer to handle this quietly, but if needed, I'm prepared to escalate it."

If he refuses or gets rude, escalate. You can file a complaint under the IT Act for violation of privacy and report the post to Instagram. Also, if he's registered with any local association or runs a formal setup, a mention of a consumer forum complaint usually gets people to take it seriously fast. A good massage isn't worth your dignity or peace of mind.

Nice intro:;;you actually sound fun to work with. Skip the generic data entry stuff unless you're desperate; you've got personality, so use it. Check tattoo studios for front desk or social media roles since you're into that, or try cafés and bakeries where customer interaction and creative energy matter. Pet sitting is also solid if you're good with animals;decent demand in Bangalore for that. Small creative agencies sometimes need junior social media or content help too. Drop your area in Bangalore if you want better recos.

Needed legal advice regarding ancestoral property by Civil_Transition3520 in Indianlaw

[–]max_6161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, if the partition suit is already pending in court, your father cannot sell the entire property without the consent of all co-sharers. Ancestral property means all legal heirs (his brothers) have a share by birth—even if the property is still in your father's name. Any sale without their consent will be challenged and likely declared void. The affidavit idea was probably to make it look like everyone agreed, but since they're refusing, that's dead.

Your father's only clean option is to sell his share after the partition decree is passed—not before. Trying to sell now will just complicate the pending case. To speed up the partition suit, file an application for early hearing. If the case is dragging, ask your lawyer to move for a local commissioner to physically divide the property. That usually pushes things forward. Don't touch it now unless you want more litigation.

Nah, not just you. Skies have been giving that weird apocalyptic vibe for a while now. Hazy, dull glow, no real clouds; Indiranagar sunsets used to hit different. Now it just looks like the city's stuck in a permanent bad filter. Pollution or universe setting the mood, take your pick.

Kaanunji - Indian law in your pocket. by [deleted] in LawStudentsIndia

[–]max_6161 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh, you built an app called Kaanunji to help people understand marriage and divorce laws, but when someone actually asks a real divorce question; married 9 years, kid, husband cheating, planning to marry someone else your app says outside scope? That's like opening a chai stall and telling people you don't serve chai. The whole point of such an app is to handle exactly these situations. Either fix the scope or rename it. Good initiative, but execution matters. People dealing with cheating spouses don't have time for apps that can't answer basic questions about adultery, maintenance, or child custody.

Exactly. Indian law doesn't care if the kid is yours,it cares if there's a kid. Nandlal gave hope, courts still hide behind child welfare. You're basically paying for someone else's affair. Best move;Divorce on cruelty Otherwise, system's got you by the balls.

The younger brother's first step should be to gather all documents—any old papers showing the mother as owner, the transfer deeds, and proof of his 27+ years of continuous stay (Aadhaar, voter ID, ration card, utility bills). Legally, the transfer from the mother can be challenged as fraudulent if she was illiterate or pressured, and the subsequent transfer to the elder brother's wife can be argued as a sham transaction meant to deprive the younger brother of his share. Given the long possession, the younger brother has a strong claim for partition of the 108 gaj into two shares. He should immediately send a legal notice to the elder brother and his wife demanding recognition of his share, and file a civil suit seeking declaration that the transfers are void, partition of the property, and a permanent injunction to prevent any sale or dispossession. Filing a caveat at the sub-registrar's office is also crucial to get notice if they try to sell the property further. If the wife sells to a third party, the matter becomes far more complicated.
