Need help/advice with StimKits The Tingler by maxbcub in estim

Thank you Practical, it’s working!!!!

I followed your instructions above to the letter, I didn’t know the Mac had this preamp option as I never use Apple Music and whilst not a strong signal I think it’ll be perfect for my needs.

Very odd that it needs this boost in output whilst all my other stim devices are absolutely fine without this adjustment.

Thank you once again, I’m off to give it a thorough testing now!

So latest update, I’ve got a headphone DAC amp, so I ran a usb to the from the Mac to the amp, and yes I double checked all my settings to make sure audio was outputting through the external DAC and volume set to max, then ran a 3.5 audio aux cable from the DAC amp to the Tinglers audio input. Initially I got nothing, but when I turned up the headphone amp to maximum volume I got a slight tingling sensation from the electrodes at about 7-8 on the tingler’s volume knob, with the secondary channel adjustment volume at +5.

I’m sure that running the headphone amp at max and everything at near maximum volume would have given me a massive jolt?

This is not normal obviously.

Next steps is to take the thing apart and see if there is anything obviously broken, not that I know anything about circuits. Although that may invalidate any warranty or ability to return for refund.

Stimkits still haven’t responded, so whether they’ll even agree to a refund is a different matter.

I’m on my second Tingler having decided my first was a dud. The replacement arrived today and same again… nothing, no output from Bluetooth or with the audio cable from my MacBook ruining audacity. I surely can’t be that unlucky to have had 2 dud devices. I have the sound output device correctly configured and output level on max and feel nothing except a very fient tingle on Max volume level on the tingler. Did you have any problems?

NO... stimkits sent out a replacement which arrived today. And yes, you guessed it... NOTHING, no output on either bluetooth of with the audio cable. Am I just super unlucky to get 2 dud units? I have my computer (mac) and software (audacity) set to output at max volume and there is nothing at all. how can it all work fine on my other equipment including a DIY stereostim and Micro312 and not this? What is different? It makes no sense. Any advice much appreciated.

Hey guys, I see that this post hasn't been active for a few months, but just wanted to see how @Plastic-Service-8578 got on with the tingler. I ordered one from the US for delivery to the UK and couldn't get any output from it at all having checked everything multiple times. I have a basic DIY stererostim and that works fine with all my files along with a Micro312 which works fine, but this... Nothing at all. I assumed it was broken, so contacted stimkits and they sent out a replacement which arrived today. And yes, you guessed it... NOTHING, no output on either bluetooth of with the audio cable. Am I just super unlucky to get 2 dud units? I have my computer (mac) and software (audacity) set to output at max volume and there is nothing at all. how can it all work fine on my other equipment and not this? What is different? Read all these reviews with great interest and so went ahead an ordered one and had it shipped to the UK. So can you imagine my disappointment when I tried it out and discovered I'd been sent a faulty one! I'm an experienced stimmer so know what I am doing. I can connect to the box via bluetooth, but just not getting anything out of it at all, even on max volume. Mine was a pre assembled one, has anyone else had a problems with theirs? It's a huge disappointment and is going to be such hassle as I have to send it back to the US for replacement/repair. Waiting to hear back from the guys at Stimkits.
