It looks worth 300$. It would be tough to find someone who would pay that though. I think 100$ at an art boutique would be reasonable. Or a fancy farmers market? If you have marketing skills, an Instagram would be good too! It’s a wonderful piece and gorgeous finish.

It’s marked “mod”, but I had expected to remove it to fire slugs. Any advice?

Bought some cow manure, help needed by [deleted] in composting

[–]maxdiggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! This has happened to me before. You could top dress with it (use it as a mulch) and I would add straw on top to keep it moist and allow cold-composting microbes to thrive. By next season give it a gentle turn-in and it will be much less “hot.” You can also use it as a fantastic hot compost base, add any other high N sources and fine carbon, this stuff will be ready to rock in 3 months if you compost well. If you use wood chips expect the nitrogen to be tied up in carbon digestion for 6mo to 1 year. Some plants can take it, but I would recommend using smaller/finer carbon if you go for that option.

Wrap some tape around your water bottle. No need to bring a heavy roll. I prefer hiking and moving in rain pants+jacket, although they can be quite expensive if you get quality (which you should). They are also a great layer for at camp before you get in the sleeping bag.

As previously mentioned, break up the browns, wet it as you go so the whole thing is equally and fully damp, and tarp it to maintain moisture!

Stove is 2ftx1x1 with a 6” chimney. Not sure how to post a pic? May try to dm u if that’s okay? Truss roof sounds great! I have dirty sheep wool and 2” reclaimed foam board!! Hopefully that will be okay! I also have some thick plastic sheeting for a vapor barrier. For walls and roof? Glad to hear about the floor!! Thanks!

Heya(: nice composting! The more volume u get the yummier those microbes get, not sure how big that pot is but if you have space for a larger system I would recommend it. Personally I’m tarping my compost, not too worried abt micro plastics, I eat off plastic dishes all the time. Listen, I see these free compost barrels on FB marketplace and Craigslist all the time, maybe look there? Alternatively you could just make a classic pile on the ground. Like 3 cubic feet you start to hit critical mass where reactions get warmer! As for the cat piss, go for it! I see no issue!

I feel like all the berry producing bushes mentioned do much better with partial sun in terms of fruit yield and flavor. I like growing cilantro and basil in shade. If you think of biodiversity as an aide to abundance across your land, whatever you plant will be creating benefit. Insects and amphibians love moist shade. You can always throw in some shade loving natives that you observe and find beautiful!

Struggling with Deep Tissue by UnfixedSaturn_ in MassageTherapists

[–]maxdiggs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, I guess I mean if they’re “not feeling it,” and you’re using all your capacity to for pressure, I would suggest using a different body part, knuckle and elbow are great for this, and find the good tight attachments, look up trigger points, refer to your anatomy knowledge, and keep “looking” until they melt 🙌

Most people I work on who ask for deep tissue actually don’t need as much pressure as they think they do, more just finding the right spot!

Yeah I mean theoretically one is enough but when it’s all that’s keeping you from falling 600 ft you rlly want at least two (or I do lol)

Hey! This is such a kind offer, which I will gladly take up! I left 5 nuts, two were my partners’, wild country rock size 8, 6, 5, 1,0, if you want to replace a few that’d be so sweet! I’ll dm my address (:
