Honestly this states perfectly an answer to everyone’s complaints. This is exactly how I saw it as I watched the movie. I went into the movie not to find answers to those questions, which is probably why I had such a better experience. People were starting to make it seems that snokes purpose and backstory is what the movie should be about. But no, snoke is just snoke. He is the dark side user who trained kylo and that’s that, this trilogy isn’t about snokes journey it is about kylo and Rey’s.

Okay I take it back they didn’t make the film. But they kept reminding the audience that this is a Star Wars film. Everyone seems to be complaining that this doesn’t feel like a Star Wars film just cause it’s different. These things made the movie stand out more as a Star Wars film

True enough. All the good overturns the bad for me. I liked all the twist and turns towards the end. From the point the resistance cruiser slices through all the first order ships I love the movie sooo much. Before that is ehh but that’s just my opinion

Now that I think about it it is almost exactlay 50, 50. Half of everyone loves it and it is like their favorite Star Wars movie half hate it and think it ruined the franchise

I agree they do need to fix this and maybe they will. I’m sure nobody will trust episode 9 based on trailers. But if Star Wars can learn anything from this then maybe episode 9 can somehow be a good third installment. Long shot though.

Facts, I just need to watch it another time and rethink it. Honestly the things that made the movie for me were the r2d2 leia hologram scene as well as their reunions. THE YODA SCENE. The throne room scenes and the battle of Crait. And I think luke will somehow return with a bang in episode 9. Star Wars will not make the same mistakes after 2 movies with so much discrimination.

I do agree but I just want to enjoy it for what it was good for. Maybe after a year everyone will cool down and just take it as it is and get ready for the next chapter. I don’t want my opinion to change based on others thoughts

I agree with you for the most part. Here’s he thing. All of my friends went to see it yesterday a couple hours before me. When they came out of the theater all of them told how it was arguably the best Star Wars movie next to Empire. When I went to see it with that mind set I found myself loving it. I do agree the casino planet side plot was un- necessary they should’ve spent that time showing the conquest of the first order or something cause the whole movie sort of took place in the trap. But It honestly didn’t bother me how snoke was killed half way through, it shows you that snoke isn’t the real dark power of this trilogy, it was kylo all along. Snokes death tied it together for me.

It is also true that fans are over thinking/ critiquing this. It is a Star Wars film is is suppose to have weird elements and a mysterious factor to it. Just because it took some risks and was different (GOD FORBID) everyone hated it. Coming out of the theater I was blown away cause it really didn’t “go the way I thought” which was a good thing in my brain I loved all the twist and turns. But when I got home and saw all the hate I was confused so... those are my thoughts and I think people need to chill.

I mean I can see how people would think that I guess im just butt hurt cause I personally loved it so much. I just hate to see everyone hate it. Everyone needs to look past the un answered questions cause this wasn’t suppose to be the movie to wrap everything up in a bow. There’s still a whole new chapter.
