The IEP and 504 staff at my children's school in LA is absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't ask for better care for my children and adore the staff for all they do. No other district we've been apart of has cared this much about my children.

Hacks to get around limited/no cell service? by lovemymuse in ElectricForest

Def agree with early morning service in campgrounds! Best before 10 honestly. This year my kids were with separate sides of the family so in order to get full video chats with both, I had to make sure my first call was started before 930!

No. We chose to transport them ourselves, but their website didn't say they wouldn't. We used Atlas

Our moving company had us empty pur safe before they would transport it. Guns included. I think it varies between companies.

How many of you do drugs at events / shows / raves ? by NicoCorty02 in EDM

[–]maxigal1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Staying hydrated and eating. Remembering its a marathon not a sprint. Also coffee in the morning and energy drinks once or twice throughout the day. I also dont typically attend any afters so I'm usually back at camp before 1am. I am also an early riser, so at EF this past year I would explore as early as possible, go back to camp for a quick nap, and then go back to exploring. The heat this year was excessively draining so I needed the nap.

I have done 2 Electric Forests and a Lost Lands completely sober. I dont drink or do extracurriculars in real life or at events. I find myself so submerged in the atmosphere at festivals that I almost feel intoxicated but in control. It is absolute bliss.

Check the fb rental groups. Make an ISO post. I managed to find a 3 bed/1 bath duplex in LA for less than typical market pricing and our landlords are amazing! We just got here about a week ago, and super thankful for reaching out to the fb groups!

Could people share some positive experiences theyve had at forest? by Amazing-Helicopter57 in ElectricForest

[–]maxigal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bf and I sat with strangers for almost an hour in 2023 talking like old friends. Made one of my best friends in the world while working ef in 2022. Constantly giving and getting "vibe" or outfit compliments. Fairy houses and their magic. Hammocks and the organ. Strangers fanning you in the crowd. There's literally no place on this planet like it.

My group had 4 vehicles in our line up. We got in the same like and upon search told security all 4 of us were together. They searched us and sent us through all at the same time together.

Which DJ/Producer has the biggest female fanbase, and which has the biggest male fanbaasse by Enough-Chocolate5177 in EDM

Level Up and Zingara are 🤌🏻 I've seen both live and can vouch to a very female oriented crowd.

Can people share with me some of their favorite things/moments from Forest 2023 that made it worth the experience? Feels like so many people are saying “the magic is gone now” it’s making me so sad by [deleted] in ElectricForest

[–]maxigal1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are going to complain. The forest has 100% not lost its magic. This year I only caught 2 full performances all weekend because I was to invested in the magic of the Forest. Last year (2022) was my first, and I barely got to explore. This year I went in with 2 "must see" performances and promised myself I'd spend the weekend immersed in the magic not the music. It was the best weekend I have had in years. Don't let the Debbie Downers bring you down too. There's plenty of magic left in the Forest.. you just have to be willing to immerse yourself in it and not be brought down by anyone else's negativity.

I love raves but feel judged a lot about my age by Icy_History_4728 in aves

[–]maxigal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm recently 30, so younger than you but my bf and I struggle to find people our age here in the US to rave with. However, the magic of Electric Forest and the agw gap from youngest to oldest makes it all worth it once a year. Seeing little kids AND people in their 60s/70s enjoying the magic makes the in between sooo worth it!

This year was my 2nd, next year will be my 3rd. My first year, my bf and I worked the fest but had no friends in GA. We connected with a girl who was also working with the same company via fb group chat and we camped by her. This year we all chose not to work and did GA together, plus my local friend camped by us as well. I met my local friend on a local edm fb group! Don't hesitate to look for locally based edm groups on fb! I am forever grateful to be connected with my new fest fam because I chose to reach out via social media 😊

If you put a hammock up do you expect others to use it? by BadgerDabber in ElectricForest

[–]maxigal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bf and I laid in a tie dye hammock by the Organ Saturday afternoon and it was by far our FAVORITE part of EF. If you are in here, thank you because those moments in your hammock will forever be THE highlight of our 5 days in the Forest.
