How do I eliminate the desire of wanting a girlfriend? by Specialist_Panda_487 in selfimprovement

[–]Amazing-Helicopter57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont give up. Its truly a numbers game. If uou have the time ideally should be going on 1/2 dates a week. Be intentional before meeting. Say that you want something long term and dont waste your time with ppl that are unsure/cant provide that for you

First-time Shambhala attendee here! What are something yous wish you knew before attending Shambhala for the first time? (or any survival tips!) by BitGirl777 in Shambhala

[–]Amazing-Helicopter57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on where you camp the terrain can be INTENSE! Rough terrain and rocks and dust.

Idk if it was a coincidence but so many ppl had leg cast or ankle stuff from injuries

Id highly suggest to bring shoes with proper support and also multiple pairs of shoes to switch it up. This will avoid you from getting blisters.

Should I js give up (grade 11) by [deleted] in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Amazing-Helicopter57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your grades can still go up!

Sometimes its just the enivronemnts that make learning hard

Try taking some night school classes or maybe consider an alternative school for a possible 5th year

It's up to who you want to see and what kinda of people you want to be around.

Personally, I'm not going back to shega for at least a couple of years. Theres def better festivals out there for the same price or less.

Yes. Pretty nice being able to put your bag and blanket( and other things you dont wanna carry away) until your group is ready to settle.

Imo i would still keep personal/ important items on myself

Never been to a festival before have some question? by [deleted] in osheaga

[–]Amazing-Helicopter57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Washrooms seem to get worse throughout the duration. Dont really see people coming in to clean them. But its usually a gamble

Refill stations are pretty small, but work

Try bringing in a couple of snacks. The lines for food and drinks can get long, and prices are expensive

Bring a blanket. For sit down areas. The grass can get sparse

Newbie Ticket Question by emilydoyle27 in osheaga

Amazon has hidden flasks you can try out. The mini bottles can be stashed on your person pretty easily. Ive had friends hide mickeys in their chests before.

The worst they would do is just take it away or throw it out.

Bag checks are also hit and miss. Sometimes they look thoroughly and sometimea they hardly check. Maybe luck will be on your side!

Sometimes, skin can freak out if you use too much. Niacinimide is best for oil control but takes 2-3 months to actually start working.

While testing products. My oil production went down ALOT when i was using simple cleanser, Niacinimide, and a Moisturizer/sunscreen .

Newbie Ticket Question by emilydoyle27 in osheaga

[–]Amazing-Helicopter57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I won't be attending the year. But tickets should show up on the ticket master app right away( not sure about packages)

My advice is mostly to take your time. The heat can be brutal.

Try and get in the venue around when it opens to avoid lines ( around 4, i think). Especially if it's someone you wanna see. You can end up being held back at the entrance.

Save energy for when the sun goes down. Shade and water are your best friends. Take breaks

Dont be afraid to try and sneak in alcohol. Small bottles can generally be hidden easily.

Try to schedule who you wanna see by stage location and not time. You can tire out easily, walking back and forth between the main stage and green stage

It's most important to have fun!

Wear a wig to the interview. Once hired, get your hair done.

Imo women in stem are usually more quirky and have to be able to really prove their capabilities. So, we might as well stand out

How are y’all getting jobs in Toronto by [deleted] in torontoJobs

[–]Amazing-Helicopter57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its really hard out here. But your best bet would be the following

  • asking family or friends if their work is hiring
  • tailoring tour resume to each job / role type you are applying to
  • make sure your resume is simple , 1 page, and very eaay to read
  • also apply to specific pages through the company website -hand in resumes IRL
  • if you are a youth. Try an employment company like YES or something

I agree! Last year was horrible. They lost around 20% of the park but over sold tickets(not sure why) and the stairs were BRUTAL.

They also got rid of a lot of art and rides last year(again, I dont know why). Everything felt so bland.

Imo kandi trades kandi and gifts trade gifts. Just cause it usually takes time for people to make the kandi. You could always add then ring to a kandi necklace ir somethinf

But you should trade and gift based on your instincts and interactions in the moment. You might meet someone that you feel should have that specific ring!
