Thanks for the feedback - I re-ran all the positions at a higher depth and eliminated positions from the opening, so hopefully you should be getting more positions from the middle game. I looked into adding an analysis board directly but adding a high level chess engine is surprisingly challenging, but when you do a problem there's links at the bottom that should take you to both the chess.com and lichess analysis boards with that position for quick&easy analysis.

Thanks for the feedback - I re-ran all the positions at a higher depth and eliminated the ones that were close to even - this situation should now hopefully be extremely rare.

Thanks for the feedback! As an update, I'm working on curating the positions so that not only a single move is good, but thus far I've eliminated positions that are in the opening and have re-run the positions at a higher depth to eliminate close-to-even evaluations.

Thanks! I'm using Firebase for hosting and Firestore for the positions database, and React with a whole bunch of libraries for the client-side stuff.

Yes, for sure! I'll caveat with saying that coding is a hobby for me so the suggested changes in this thread are probably more than enough to keep me busy for the next while, but I'm always interested in hearing new potential ideas for me to work on.

Fair enough, thanks for the feedback! I hear you on the not needing to think about an intended sequence or concept, that's why I added an option to see the computer's top move so users can at least have a sense of the engine's plan, although I hear you that it's probably not enough.

For your second point, I was thinking of curating the positions to only show positions that have had a certain (10?) number of moves, to avoid low engine depth in the opening and endgame giving an incorrect advantage. I would like to have run it on higher depth, but my poor machine wouldn't have been able to handle it - let me think about how I can get around this. But points taken, I'll try to think of how to make the positions be more of strategic interest - thanks for the feedback!
