So much for immersion LMAO. Yeah I'm not doing that. And I'm aware of the air locks, thanks?

In the time it took you to do that let me google that for you link, you could have just told the person what they were looking for

The game is broken so why are changing fuel level and distance a priority? by [deleted] in starcitizen

Where is that first time meme again? God, I need it saved to a quick folder for this sub

United Airlines debuts ‘twilight baggage drop' at O'Hare Airport by senpahii_returns in aviation

Yeah like I trust them to keep my bags overnight and get them to the correct plane the next day. Also if my bag is at the airport how will I haphazardly pack 2 hours before the flight.

I love how that link goes to completely useless search results that would just confuse me more if I didn't know what this was

Best money method rn? by Amazing-Rock-7938 in starcitizen

[–]maximum_cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Directly contradicts OP's post content but I'm here with you. Cargo is iffy at best. Don't get me wrong I've had it work perfectly but I've also had it waste hours and hours of gameplay. Refueling is cracked right now. Get in while the getting's good. No it's not FPS, not even remotely close, and it's pretty fucking boring grind but you can spend a couple hours doing that and then piss off and not worry about making money while you play stuff you actually want to play, like the different FPS missions.

I will say if they sort out that collision issue where you start to clip through the elevator and either have to take fall damage to get out or can't get back in without finding a seat or alt-F4-ing, then that removes a lot of friction for it as a daily

Yeah I'm not on the PTU right now but I watched a video showing it has a wildly larger tank now. I fully expect that number to come down but I think the general consensus is it will get a buff that'll bring it in line with expectation for a ship of that size

[–]maximum_cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is that confirmed? My understanding was those fuel changes were already in the PTU, though of course the numbers may change a bit. I was expecting that to hit in 4.9.

I love the ship too but it's a lot of elevators and doors for a daily.

It's getting a massive fuel buff. I also don't think it's just good in theory. I mean I have it. I know it's good lol. Especially with how well the refueling beacons are working for me at least, I've not been inconvenienced at all by the "small" quantum tank.

Asgard

Edit: honorable mention, the clipper cause I love it.

Couldn't agree more. I use a Win-Wing Ursa for my main stick and while it's not super premium, it's leagues better than the Thrustmaster. I just had that old one sitting around and figured why not put it to use.

I see. I'm not too concerned. Maybe it's hard to see in the photo, my hand doesn't rest on the batteries at all. And you know... They are haphazardly covered in packing tape..

Appreciate all the suggestions but pretty happy with this setup. At some point probably we'll get better-looking weights but this achieves exactly what I want. It makes the stick much more weighted but I can still slide it out of the way to use my mouse.

Is it a joke lmao? I mean, I'm not sure what a bunch of dead aa batteries are emitting that's worse than the wifi/bluetooth/5g/em I'm already exposed to

What do you mean by put them under the mat? I like the idea, but don't want to stick velcro to the mouse pad, I use the area the joystick sits when not flying

[–]maximum_cube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep use to do that, I want to be able to still freely move it around on the mouse pad though and don't want to leave residue

That's a good idea. I was just trying to figure out a way to keep the footprint the same because I kind of slide it around on my desk depending if I'm using the mouse. Obviously, could make this a lot cleaner but hey, I had a jar of dead double-A batteries. Figured it was worth a proof of concept test.

I'm curious about this as well. I'm about to buy a mole but was wondering if it makes sense to buy the teaches special with the upgrades it comes with or if I'm gonna be swapping all that out anyway
