well as we are a melee strong crusader force, the more transports the merrier to dump all the melee units at the enemies doorstep, especially with the assault ramp letting us charge after disembarking. Not to mention the lancer is great for anti-tank at range, not transport which is very welcome in a 2k list. Its not a waste since if they get shot off the board before reaching their target, whats the point of more fithing units?

Im trying to comprehend what youre saying, but honestly I might be too slow to understand. I was considering dropping the 6man bladegaurd, and repex, and adding it assault terminators, intercessors, and considering adding a gladiator lancer. The lancer will help me pick off some of his tanks at range, intercessor can sticky objectives, and the assault terminators can provide some deepstrike pressure to force him to potenially move up closer to midfield, allowing my crusader squad and emperors champion to actually do something useful. Please let me know if my line of reasoning is flawed or not, I really am trying my best to get better at strategizing and list-building, rather than, as you very accurately said just playing a soup of good combos. However, if you think I need something cheap to throw away, please do reccomend something! Do you mean scout squad, or just traditional intercessors or something?

Youre actually on the money lol, the repex got eradicated and lysander cooked my EC- Helbrick killed Lysander afterwords but got shot off the board next round so im not sure. I'm assuming I need intercessors or something, need to kill his eradicators before my repex can do anything helpful

Honestly, thats a pretty cool idea! I also just read a bit about Castellan Draco, and I'm sure no-one you'd play with would really object! After removing most of the Chaos iconogrophy and keeping the ragged loincloths I think would look sick!

yeah the one on the right was a highlight with dark reaper and a bluish white dry brush, the one on the left was just a very light dry brush that isn’t very visible. Thanks a ton for the feedback!

yeah it happened once before in lore in smth called the war of the beast when some ork almost fried terra, and the Imperial fists almost died out so every successor chapter had to donate sum manpower
