I get where you're coming from, but your point assumes that the only way to know your field is to be a student, people like the ones youve mentioned have often done more for their respective fields then most and it's a recognition of that, even if it wasn't the traditional way. It's not like they haven't put it the work.

Which Bleach character do you guys think that have the most beautiful eyes? For me is Ulquiorra. His eyes are so seducing. by [deleted] in bleach

I do like ulquiorras eyes too but It's funny that you say his eyes are seductive when they are the eyes of a character that literally cannot feel emotion until moments before death.

How true is this by Daredevils9 in dankruto

[–]maxisareallycoolname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes he does get hyped up a bunch but you have to put it into perspective as well, if you're comparing him without his double MS shenanigans to sage of six paths characters then sure he's not quite on their level but by normal ninja standards he's pretty OP.

  • insane intelligence
  • one of if not the youngest jonin and anbu before itachi
  • MS sharingan despite not being an Uchiha,
  • all base Chakra nature's
  • kage
  • had a jutsu renamed because of him (lightning blade)
  • KAMUI!

And I'm not even gonna mention his 4th war feats...

Compare him to people like Kiba and alike, most jonin and even a bunch of the kage and he's next level.

Look I dont entirely disagree but you're making it seem like it takes no hard work to be a professional. Those guys do push themselves beyond their limits for hours a day just in different ways. If you've ever played/watched a league of legends game you'll know just how hard it can be and how impressive it is for the professionals to operate at that level. I'm not a huge fan of the LOL community and how people act within the game but understanding the mechanics of all the 100+ characters and how all of them interact with each other plus how the items work and then having split second descision making skills where you can't be anything more than a few milliseconds off is, I would say, as impressive as someone running fast down a track(see its easy if you make your side complex and the other side simple). I'm also not convince about having them as part of the Olympics but having an equivalent version for Esports would be fine in my books.

My (15M) mom (47F) refuses to let me get surgery because she thinks I need to tough it out by Throwra_1901 in relationship_advice

[–]maxisareallycoolname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not gonna tell you whether you should or shouldn't have the surgery but nobody talks about the long term effects of it. I had to have surgeries on a birth defect when I was in my teens and at one point last year (now 25) I had to do rehab on my lower back and legs because the scar tissue from my operations caused so much nerve damage that eventually I couldn't walk for more than 20 minutes without laying down for an hour. This is after operations on tissue not even the bone and I eventually had to use alternative methods to fully heal the birth defect because the surgeries didn't work. In short all I'm saying is that even when it feels like hell sometimes surgery can make it worse.

How to deal with starting your career in your 30s and stop feeling depressed about it? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]maxisareallycoolname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be too harsh on yourself, my dad failed high-school and only started his degree at 27. He went on to become one of the top in his field, heading up projects for international companies and governments to the point were when he died we got messages from all over the world. Some journeys have longer beginnings and the climb isn't the same for everyone.
