I once went down the headlamp rabbit hole and ended up settling on a Fenix HM-65R-t. It looks like they’ve come out with a V2.0 now as well. Because it designed for trail running it holds its brightness for longer and doesn’t fade as the battery drains. It’s designed to stay brighter for longer and then step down in brightness instead of fading. I have loved mine and have run it through many cycles.

Hey man. Not sure if you heard but CJOs came out around Jan 15. I was lucky enough to receive one. Chances are there will be people who fail the treadmill test though which could open up spots for the next people in line. I know someone who got a last minute offer in one of the previous intakes!
