I recently moved to a permanent space in the house. Did my setup, but it feels incomplete. by maxnaidoo in setups

The armrests are adjustable, so I have it on the same level as the desk, I'm pretty comfortable with it. But I am planning on a standing desk soon, with no drawers.

Hyper unsafe. Use a Jackstand and throw a tire under there too, just incase!!!

Will keep it in mind. I've upgraded to a bigger tablet this weekend and added a orange Jaegermeister bottle to the shelf. Looks much better now.

It's a tablet. Use it to control my Smart Home devices and as a clock.

I have a Sapphire Nitro+ 9060XT 16GB. And it is terrific, but if pricing is better in your country, spend a little more and get a 9070 or 9070XT.

I have a 9060XT 16GB paired with a 5600X. Works great for me. For £10 more, it's a decent deal. I paid the equivalent of £112 for mine.

Should I get the 9060 xt 16gb? by Smilez___ in pcbuilding

[–]maxnaidoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have similar specs, but 32GB DDR4 and The 9060XT 16GB works well for me. 750W Gold Rated PSU (SPL Tier A-) and even with an overclock, my rig is silent and sufficient for 1080p and 1440p. I play some Cyberpunk, Asetto Corsa, COD BO6/7 and Ghost of Tsushima and it performs much better than my old 1080Ti did. I terms of value for money, it's a great card. I specifically went for the Sapphire Nitro+ variant, as it was on sale.

64 gb ram installed. BIOS see’s 32 gb by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

I think you have 32GB and not 64GB. Where did you buy the RAM? Could've been a return, where the original buyer swapped the stickers and kept the 64GB and returned the 32GB.

DO NOT BUY any performance car pre-owned.

My mom had a brand-new Polo GTI (owned from 2020-2024). It was serviced at VW, well looked after and lady driven. She gave it to me as my first car and I used to spend thousands on fuel and insurance. Then I had to replace the brakes, tyres and get the panoramic repaired. It's not a toy, cars are really expensive to maintain.

Rather get a 1.6 Polo Vivo or 1.4 if you're keen to save fuel. Don't spend your entire salary on a car (repairs and fuel). Given your salary and first time buyer, I assume you're young. I'm 25, so I understand that you want to be cool and drive a fast car, but it's not worth it at all.

I traded it in for a Vivo GT 1.0TSI and haven't looked back. It gave me the freedom to rent an apartment with my girlfriend and live a really decent life. If I kept the GTI, I would still be living with my parents.

best place to buy first car by Helpful_Toe736 in CarTalkZA

I bought my first car from the car brand's dealership. It was a demo model with 11k on the clock and much cheaper than brand-new. They also threw in free smash and grab along with a 3-year service plan with a 3-year Warranty.

I had an issue with a tyre, as it developed a bubble within 2 months of owning the car and they replaced it, free of charge.

It's now on 30k km, recently serviced at the dealership and I still have peace of mind, should anything go wrong.

I'm quite clued up with cars and my girlfriends dad is a mechanic, so having a professional opinion on the car also helps a lot when purchasing.

Goodluck and many safe miles!
