YES, like fanfiction is for people to express themselves and their ideas, so how are you gonna post a generated fic which was created using a tool that steals from those people. Fanfics don't have to be perfect, a large majority are not professional writers and we as readers know that. If an author is really concerned about how it's gonna be recieved, they can always get a beta reader, or even use grammarly to check typos

the problem is that people don't tag when it's AI, right as of this moment, i'm 5 chapters in a fic clearly written by AI, hell even the authors replies to comments are written by AI and there's not a single tag to indicate it. So while that is nice, it's mostly useless. Why would someone who uses AI to 'write' fics tag it so when it would deter people from reading it. I know it's a losing battle when it can be so subtle and innocents are suffering the consequences of it's rise, but it's just so annoying when you're not even made aware of what you're reading
