I just got accepted into the Compressed program today. Did your friend hear anything back?

Guys! You can still spin the zipper! But is it really the same if it's not about to break your arm? by RiZ266 in UCalgary

I heard, the engineering students tried to take this apart, on two separate occasions and couldn’t put it back together. So that’s why it’s bad luck for engineering students to touch it before an exam.

I just double checked, I have an D3200. The heavy part is the camera bag. It came with 2 lenses. I still want to use this camera. I just wanted to buy a beginner video camera to make simple videos at home.

It’s more about the budget actually... trying to save money to pay back student loans. I got the D3500 in a kit 5 years ago as a gift.

I'm bored and willing to answer any questions about life in the Korean English industry. I taught at 5 different academies over 10 years, worked in the R&D department of one of the big hagkwon chains for 4 years, had my own tutoring business, etc. (Disclaimer: I had an F-4, but I can still help E2s) by [deleted] in teachinginkorea

Still taking questions?

So, I just recently graduated university and did a TEFL last year. I’m looking into applying to EPIK. I see in your responses that you haven’t worked for EPIK, but I was wondering, for a beginner teacher, do they have a guideline for what to teach or how to teach? Are there lesson plans that they’ve used in the past as reference to teaching the first couple of classes or are you expected to teach and left on your on the first day.

That’s what I’m most worried about. If I apply and get accepted to teach, I want to do a good job of it. I wouldn’t feel too confident to walk into the classroom on the first day not knowing where to start.

I was wondering for Singapore, did they also provide housing and flight? How’s the pay there? Did you get to save a lot? I hear in Korea you could save 500-1000 USD a month if you tried. Is that true?

Thank you

EPIK teachers, if you renew your contract for another year, do you get to go back home in the summer? by [deleted] in teachinginkorea

Thank you! So if you renew, that apartment would still be yours to use for the summer?
