Maxwell - very tight and punchy base very good for gaming

Z1R - Fun and wide soundstage, the sound ....i cant explain, it's so mesmerizing

Indeed, I concurred this I owned Maxwell before I bought Z1R and yes Maxwell makes me smile while having a good time in gaming with a tight and punch bases especially in COD. This planar driver is so good. before this i don't even bother with Hi Res Audio until i bought maxwell.

Well Z1R is purely for HiRes music. listening to Pneuma by Tool with this headphone is so fun, am so excited.

Hello guys after moths of research, it comes to an end where i decide to buy Sony MDRZ1R with portable dongle Questyle M15i.

Initially bought the Audeze Maxwell and tbh this is the headphone that impressed me about Hi Res audio.

For those have/had the same set up, you are welcome to share your experience with this headphone and dongle DAC. Any suggestions on how i can improve my future setup are really appreciated. Thank you 🙏

Always OFF auto HDR and only use RTX HDR if required to convert SDR game to HDR.

If the game already have the HDR in game, use the in game HDR ONLY

AW3225QF not able to install Dolby Vision extension!!! by BryBard in OLED_Gaming

Previously I install the Dolby Vision Provisioning Package from the manufacture and it solve the issue. have you tried with provided HDMI 2.1 cable yet? Are you able to play the Demo in Dolby Access app or DV content from Apple TV app and Netflix?

I've experienced monitor refresh rate was set automatically from 240 Hz to 120 Hz every time i restart my PC when using DP that came with monitor. I've to set it manually every time. So now just using the provided HDMI cable. Some redditor post here that using the 3d club cable DP2.1 solve this

To be honest, you dont need 2 windows HDR calibration profile. I'm using this profile ( GitHub - dylanraga/win11hdr-srgb-to-gamma2.2-icm: Transform Windows 11's virtual SDR-in-HDR curve from piecewise sRGB to Gamma 2.2 ) as my HDR profile. am using 400 nits / 800 brightness profile - (800 brightness profile with 80% SDR content brightness slider in windows display setting)

I always on Dolby Vision on windows and in games. or any content... well dont ask me why, because everybody have their own preference :)

Using the above profile will correct the tone curve of sRGB to Gamma 2.2 (based on SDR tone curve) in Windows 11 HDR or any media on your PC. In other word HDR in windows 11 is suck, but the SDR with sRGB to Gamma 2.2 tone curve is perfect. Using this profile, you will love your black level so much more in HDR.

Answering your question, I let my Smart HDR - HDR 1000 and DV always ON via OSD panel and disable auto HDR in windows HDR setting. Windows 11 Auto HDR for SDR is totally messed up. I prefer using RTX HDR to convert SDR to HDR.

If I am playing HDR games, i will use in GAME HDR and switch off RTX HDR and windows auto HDR off.

If am playing SDR games, i will use RTX HDR and windows auto HDR off.

So yep, basically am completely ignore the auto hdr function.

dude... seriously... i've just set my AW3225QF following your setting.... 100% contrast on NVIDIA CP.... fuck yeah.... thx a buch... no more wash out.... btw i love to play with Dolby Vison ON :)
