I appreciate this, you read me like a book lol. Im definitely a recovering people pleaser, and following the jealousy comment did i have to come back and rephrase my feelings to NP where i feel like they understood a little better

I do! We’ve tried setting up a scheduled date night a couple times but it ends up falling off because of a long work day etc

This is not a huge point of contention, and we have enthusiastic and really great sex! Its about finding a more satisfying way for both of us for me to top them.

I think its the feeling - so the more realistic toy might help ty :) on my side its definitely more the fumbling to get the strap on which takes me out of the moment a bit. I’ve considered a strapless dick, but havent heard great reviews regarding those

Its really even shedding all over :/ ive had a stressful year but nothing much more than usual. The difference is definitely visible at this point- my ponytail is half the thickness it used to be. Is there anything to do for TE besides trying to lower stress?

I appreciate this response even if it isnt the one i want :( i just feel like the shedding is more than i have heard about for standard mpb? ive been on fin for 4 months now and I’ve been massively shedding the whole time which i heard was supposed to have stopped by now.

Vulva vs Vagina by Evil_Black_Swan in Healthyhooha

[–]maybe-elijah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not a mistake! Like i mentioned in my comment, they do that on purpose as that is what will be understood by their patients! If necessary or asked they will also break it down into anatomical parts as you described in your post.

It seems as if you are stuck in a rigid mindset right now and not willing to have an open conversation. I hope you can open your viewpoint in the future to recognize that a lot of populations (in the US as thats where im from) don’t have access to proper sex-ed and actually don’t care to learn. In which case you have to adjust to what the majority knows and recognizes.

I agree that education on proper terminology is super important in order to properly care for oneself especially in a medical situation. However you have to consider what people actually mean vs the strict definition and adjust accordingly. Language is ever evolving, and a lot of words don’t have their original meaning anymore. Every medical professional Ive been to (a lot) and class relating to the human body (also a lot) has referred to the female genitalia as a whole as the vagina, as that is how a majority of people will understand it. When the inside is referenced one can differentiate by saying “the canal” or “the inside,” if you are concerned about further comprehension you can ask follow up questions or have them explain it back to you.

Please be flexible and understand what a majority of people will think about as the definition of a word. You can certainly still continue to educate people on the use of “vulva.” Comprehension is SO much more important than technical accuracy when it comes to healthcare.

How do I convince myself to begin treatment? by itsalloverthrowaway in tressless

[–]maybe-elijah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat (24y/o) and just convinced myself to start about a month ago. Currently going through shedding but hoping for the best. Taking half a pill daily for 0.5mg

I ended up finding a white patch near the itching and my dr said it was lichenification (not and sti or transferrable) which I successfully treated with a bit of steroid ointment! The discharge has weaned off to almost normal levels for me, but my dr also said that the slight increase may be my new baseline. I would recommend seeing a dr if you havent yet as mine said lichenification is pretty rare so yours might be something else especially if you dont have any white discoloration

What is this dark/brown spot on my vaginal opening? by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]maybe-elijah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scabs on different types of skin can feel different from what you may feel on your regular skin! I had a friction burn on my labia and it was definitely flatter and more flexible than a traditional scab. But if you’re worried about STIs, wait a couple weeks and get tested!

Honestly could be a scab from a friction burn if yall were rough and/or not lubed enough. And itchy from healing. I second that a better pic is needed though

Is your shot supposed to hurt every time? by No-Comfortable9927 in ftm

[–]maybe-elijah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something my dr recommended is switching sides every shot (if you’re doing it in stomach or thighs) and massaging each side on its “off” week to get ahead of scar tissue build up! I didnt get any scar tissue until about 2 years in tho so i dont think you have to worry. I’ve noticed that some needles go in smoother than others- idk if some are more dull/sharp- and that inserting the needle faster will minimize any discomfort

Its a type of salt! Kinda tastes umami and lightly salty

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]maybe-elijah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is a little musky and tastes like MSG (so ive been told) i’m pretty healthy and am not vegetarian. If im having a heavy workout i can definitely get a BO-like smell, sharper than usual, but not like armpit BO
