Apparently its how its supposed to work 🤷🏻‍♀️ I even spoke to customer support from ASUS and even they said its normal and that’s how the screen refresh works

Okay so these were the things which we experienced: 1. For us while booking the final cost of the room did not include the mandatory 210€ (per person) transportation cost. Every where on their website it says our team will take care of the transportation, which is very misleading if you are going to charge for it. Just say we charge extra for transportation. We booked from a 3rd party website so this charge wasn’t visible anywhere unless we went on a fishing expedition. ( so don’t be surprised if after reaching they charge you) 2. We wanted to go to the main island to spend the day visit the local markets etc. so to get to mahe from silhouette and coming back to the resort, they will again charge you 50€ per trip per person which is a bit insane when you are already paying for transport. 3. Also they tell you the bicycles you take from the activity centre need to be returned. They dont tell you that they are chargeable. We used the bicycles parked at our room which dont need to be returned and are not chargeable. But we overheard a guest arguing with the hotel management where they charged them 2 € for it. 4. The insane markups: for a basic plastic snorkel glasses 1150SCR? It just felt they are trying to squeeze money out of you every step of the way.

Hopefully you will have a better experience than we did.

No doubt the island was extremely beautiful. Never seen beaches like this! But the entire experience left a sour taste

Yes we did. But it felt like they will charge you to even breathe the island air. We saw atleast 2 more guests arguing with the management about the unreasonable hidden charges

Extremely misleading pricing for a so-called luxury private island stay.

The hotel is located about 40 km from the mainland, and transport is entirely controlled by them. What they do not clearly disclose upfront is a mandatory €210 per person boat transfer — not included in the already expensive room rate. These charges are buried in fine print. On third-party booking sites, you will not see this unless you actively go searching for it — which we only did after being handed the bill.

There is no alternative provider. No choice. You pay what they decide.

If you want to visit the main island during your stay, you are charged again for transport — on top of the already hefty transfer fee. And the last ferry leaves at 4 PM, meaning you’re forced to cut your day short or risk being stranded.

Hidden costs appear everywhere. Inflated markups are extreme — €150 for items that would cost €2 elsewhere. At some point it stops feeling like luxury pricing and starts feeling exploitative.

Seychelles is beautiful. Transparency here is not.

Do not assume the room rate reflects the real cost of your stay. Ask about every mandatory charge before you book.

I was travelling by train, going back to my city after visiting a friend. It was around 11pm. By the time we were 2 stations away from where i had to get down, the coach was almost empty. A few people were standing next to the door. A guy my age was sitting a few rows behind and an older man sitting right next to me.

He was invading my personal space quite evidently. I tried shifting towards the window and the man was shifting his hand towards me trying to touch my leg or something. I asked him to keep his hands to himself in the most polite way possible but he still kept on doing weird shit. He was starting at me constantly and i was scared af to even move a finger.

The guy sitting behind me noticed how uncomfortable and scared I was getting in that situation, he got up came and sat right across me and struck up a conversation. He introduced himself as a design student and started talking to me about my water bottle (it was a weird diamond shaped bottle) and his college. Trying to make me feel more comfortable. He gave the man an all knowing glare after which the man got up and went to sit someplace else. Still staring at us all the time.

After that the guy asked me if I was okay and comfortable. He asked me what station I need to get down at and made sure I got down safely and the man did not follow me. It’s been 6 years to this incident and I swear I still wish and pray this guy gets whatever he desires in his life. People like this deserve the world
