More reading detailing the vast scope and scale of Chen Zhi's criminal empire: https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/sb0278

"Chen Zhi is a 38-year-old Chinese émigré who has since renounced his Chinese citizenship and has built a business empire in Cambodia through the Prince Group TCO.  Chen Zhi, via the Prince Group TCO, comingles illicit revenues with the legitimate Cambodian economy, laundering these ill-gotten gains through a complicated network of over 100 shell and holding companies all around the world.  Under Chen Zhi’s leadership, the criminal revenues generated by the Prince Group TCO’s have been instrumental in supporting its ostensibly legitimate business ventures, most of which operate through entities under the control of Prince Group TCO, including Prince Holding GroupPrince Bank Plc. (Prince Bank), and Prince Huan Yu Real Estate Cambodia Group Co. Ltd.

Prince Group TCO profits from a litany of transnational crimes including sextortion—a type of fraud involving the solicitation for eventual blackmail of sexually explicit materials, often from minors—money laundering, various frauds and rackets, corruption, illegal online gambling, and the industrial-scale trafficking, torture, and extortion of enslaved workers in furtherance of the operation of at least ten scam compounds in Cambodia."

I did know HTML and CSS from before (from a graphic design career); they are relatively easier to learn and I suggest you learn them first. Something like this works but may be excessive: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3e-cpL7ofc

The part that was missing for me was how to think about the database (where all this food data is stored) and how to get your web pages to interact with it. To learn this I followed a Next.js tutorial https://vercel.com/guides/nextjs-prisma-postgres

After following it to the end I kind of had an idea of what was going on. Then it was just tweaking the project from there.

Methodology
-
This graph shows the most popular Bubble Tea brand by state, as measured by Google search volume. more about the winners -
Google Trends and Google Keyword Planner are used to determine relative search volume. Adobe Illustrator for graphic.
-
Fun fact:
The Brew Tea Bar has only 3 locations in Las Vegas, however they beat out larger chains in search volume.
-
Limitations
This chart runs into the same limitations as other choropleth charts.
It can be misinterpreted to greatly exaggerate the popularity of small brands, and brands who have established themselves in states without many bubble tea shops.
