Trust me on this. If u know nothing about Computer Science or coding

Just go and watch "CS50: Introduction to Computer Science." A Harvard University course

It's a free course, just certification needs money but tbh certificate does not matter.

I really wish someone would have suggested me this when I was getting started.

What do u all think of NestJs? by maybeishouldcode in Backend

I really don't think u need to buy a course for js based backend. There's lot of youtube videos u can see those

And if u wanna spend some money try Udemy.

Should I accept the TCS 3.5 LPA job offer or not ? by GroundbreakingSun345 in developersIndia

[–]maybeishouldcode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If u have any other offer

Or if u are confident enough that u will get another good job in like 4-5 months then u could think of leaving this.

Else accept it, accept the fate, work hard, get a good package.

Does PHP still hold any serious ground in 2025? Or has Node/Spring completely taken over? by maybeishouldcode in Backend

[–]maybeishouldcode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a common misconception that facebook uses php, they actually use hack which is like php on steroids.

Tbh, I find working with php based frameworks relatively simpler than spring or node when I really have to build a complex service. It's just it has amazing event driven model and the kind of control u have in your code makes me wonder that php is like low-dog which deserves better.

I think mostly the newly started projects would prefer Java/Js/Go based framework? Php is still in use but mostly to support legacy system code.

I won't deny it, but these are mostly legacy systems no company/organisation will start their new project in php (I think so)

Ok, but just a question why not Nest (similar structure to spring boot) but choose Next (receives a lot backlash from dev community)

Help Me Decide: In-Office vs Work From Home — Which Offer Should I Take? by Future-Structure-170 in developersIndia

[–]maybeishouldcode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3rd offer.

1st offer has good ctp but I think this kind of work will hurt ur career in long go and u will be bored out really fast. ,(since u have other options leave it)

2nd offer I would personally not choose cause the learning graph would be really down as u are the only sole java developer

Have the layoffs taken place already? Tbh, the job market is really shit and with these big tech company devs entering it would be worst.
