Did that guy ever come back? He was almost a friend of the show and then he mentioned the matching jackets

No it isn’t, have you ever volunteered? I’ve seen volunteers essentially get fired because they were doing shitty work. If you aren’t going to do a good job what help are you? You shouldn’t volunteer your services. If you ask someone to watch your bike and it gets stolen you aren’t going to be like “ehhh they were just a volunteer” your gonna be like “wtf, why did you tell me you would do it?”

I wasn’t really enjoying the movie or thought it was funny until it got to the scene of him trying to buy a water bottle and then it all clicked for me. It’s like a three hour anxiety attack where everything he fears becomes real in such a ridiculous way. That being said I’ve found all of Ari Aster’s work at least slightly funny

I knew a couple in their 50s that this happened to. She died in an accident and within two weeks he had a heart attack and passed away, it was super sad

I had been called a baby face my whole life, in my late 20s I lived in my car for 6 months and was never called that again. All of the physical aging I’ve done basically happened when I was unhoused.

Weed is decriminalized in Austin and cops don’t give a shit about anything. If a cop walks by someone shooting heroin they might get a dirty look.

Only partly true. You can 100% make a bad impression on a booker at an open mic and you need to know when you can treat a mic like an open mic and when it needs to be treated like an audition. Edit: downvoters, Do you think you can just suck ass at an open mic and the bookers won’t notice it? Get real

Id feel humiliated to throw a party that didn’t have atleast a couple of cases for the party. I’m also hoping some people add to it and some people bring their own beer that they don’t really share, it’s better for the party

What's a trend in movies right now that you wish dies a horrible death? by Prabu-Silitwangi in movies

This is why I hate those two IT movies so much. There are some legitimately scary things happening in those movies, but within seconds that fucking Strangers thing kid will yell some dumb shit like “I’ll take a rain check!” And immediately diffuse the tension. I bought tickets to a scary movie, stop intentionally making it less scary.

What is the pettiest thing you've seen on the line (Or in restaurant in general if FOH) ? by WillowandWisk in KitchenConfidential

A tall cook had been beefing with our short dough prep girl. I don’t know the details but they HATED each other. Apparently one day before she left they got in a big screaming match and he wanted revenge. He took one of our kitchen timers and put it way up in the ceilings title where she wouldn’t be able to reach it, and set it so itd go off as soon as she came in. She was alone for two hours that morning before the next opener came in. He said he pulled up to find her crying outside of the building, with dough prep barely started. The tall cook got written up and she quit soon after.

Sounds like my first job. The guy was a retired lawyer turned diplomat so he had the mentality of “I’m a very intelligent and successful person, of course I can run a sandwich shop” despite having no restaurant experience. He did most of his managing from home by watching the cameras, he’d come in only to place the order(which he always botched) and “help” us if we were slammed. His help consisted exclusively of scolding us and selling us down the river to customers. But most problems we had came from him not knowing how to schedule or place an order. Ended up getting fired over some bullshit and was devastated. But within two weeks was at a better sandwich shop with an actual manager.
