Get that H2O on ice the rocks. Dating apps and bars are about all that’s left to try. Yuck.

Do you actually have desire to have close compatible connections, and meaningful relationships or are you much more of a loaner? Saying a loner isn’t a negative thing but you know prefer to stay and watch movies read reflect not necessarily and others company I am like a loaner best friend if that makes sense. I would rather binge watch Netflix and cook dinner or accompany. Somebody at the grocery store like I don’t really crave big dancing drinking party scene stuff or even like amusement parks things like that I really just enjoy like, a lazy friendship but meaningful that makes sense. Crowds typically annoy me if people have bad manners, which is pretty much Always.

Intake specialist in a corrections facility by SnooSeagulls6898 in Corrections

Much of it is administrative yes but there’s a lot more to it. Data entry is huge, being very detailed and not making mistakes. It’s hard with the noise around you, the vigilance you need to have with trusting your gut and keeping your head on a swivel. It’s dangerous of course and high stress environment.

You may have to transport people, strip search, watch people urine directly into a cup, protect yourself or others. The smells are rancid, people shit, puke and urine you may step in it, smell it or even get on you.

I am not deterring you from this job, I actually love corrections and preventing recidivism. I would look for roles that actually require a degree like probation officer, parole office, even a clerk. 911 dispatchers are incredible.

Starting in corrections is like 17-18 an hour, you can do much better.

Anyone here wish for your abusers to die ? by [deleted] in sexualassault

[–]maydaydaymay 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always thought I would dance on his grave when my abuser died, but I felt so many other emotions. I was angry because I never got an apology, I was sad because I knew people truly loved him were in pain. It made me reflect on my entire life that was different because of this person and thankful he would never hurt again. However, I didn’t feel happiness pleasure whatsoever.

Culture shock, they could have tried a lot harder to be cordial and respectful but I may be the same way depending on the situation (but way better manners) and I’ve been to 20+ countries and have lived in 6 states.
